...make me...

Oh how the times are a changing!

Today I discovered that Rogers has finally completed a merge with Yahoo! This comes with mixed feelings so far, and I've noticed a few bugs here and there. Hopefully they'll iron out all the bad and be left with a half decent service. Rogers also has a new 5 Megabit modem available, which is interesting. I'm comtemplating this upgrade, and I'll probably call to find out if it's really available to me. Montly cost stays the same, but you take a hit by actually having to purchase the modem. If it's added to the bill, then I gotta confirm with the g'rents, and if not, then a shopping I might go! Also with this merger, it seems like I get a LaunchCast Plus account and unlimited photo space on Yahoo! Photos. This is muchly appreciated since I used LauchCast on previous jobs instead of lugging around CDs, and on the photo end it gave me a quick and easy way to upload all 200 recent photos I took before my camera died. I currently have two albums up, in their entirity at Yahoo! Photos. Check them out before I decide to trim down the number of photos.

And along the lines of ISPs merging with Online content providers, have you noticed the Sympatico/MSN joint venture? I certainly have... But then again, that's my job these days. I'll express feeling on their premium services when I gain access, which might be in a few weeks.

Yes, and speaking of my job, I'm sure certain family members are itching to know all about it, or maybe just more on my feelings about the job. Well, to say this, it's "OK" so far. I'm still in training, but I'm taking live calls. It's interesting and it's made me laugh, it's made me cry, and it's made me near homicidal at times, and this was just the first 3 days! Truly we shouldn't have to support computer idiots since "computer literacy" is actually in the license agreement, but who ever really reads those things??? Honestly... Blah! But anyway, back to the job, I may end up with a horrible shift that runs from Wednesday to Sunday, 4 to midnight. This will kill all hope of having any fun for the rest of the summer. Who would want to go drinking with me on a Monday night??? Sucks, totally sucks.

Well, that seems to be all I care to complain about right now... Maybe I'll write something a little more situational oriented later?
