...make me...

Alright, another blog from work! Will it be as long as the last one? I don't know, but let's find out!

Well, it's day 3 at my temp job. Not much exciting goes on here. I supervised the hanging of pictures this morning, and entered in merit awards into the HR system. Such demanding tasks I have. Now I'm auditing file cabinets. I suppose this is all worth the salary I earn. I find my boss/co-worker fairly enjoyable. There's no semblance of pressure at all. I could get used to a job like this, but I guess it's not in my cards.

I received a call today on my cell phone from some company. They asked if I was still looking for work, and without much thought I said "Not really." I'm going to have to look thru my applied jobs folder to see what job I turned down. I should've at least asked which position it was before I said I wasn't looking. Oh well, I'll figure out this work thing eventually, I hope.

Yesterday wasn't a much more productive day. I was in charge of a phone while everybody on a floor went to a party for some guy I never met. So I sat by myself for a couple hours waiting for the day to end. Wasn't so bad when my co-worker/boss brought me a piece of black forest cake. It even had a cherry on top. But other than that, fairly quiet day. A little bit of paperwork, scheduled the picture hanging guys, and scanned pictures for the website photo album. At least it looks like I'm being productive right?

Fun things happened yesterday after work. My father came in from his conference trip. He brought along his sister whom I haven't seen in around 10 years! She lives in the same city as my sister, but I didn't have the chance or time to see her when I was down visiting, but I'll definitely try next time! Dad took me and my aunt to the tasty Mongoloid Village (Mongolian, but my dad's a comedian) where we made our own tasty stir-fry. Dad claimed it wasn't that spicy, yet there was a sheen of sweat on his bald head. Apparently spicy is when it starts to run down his forhead. Some things I just shouldn't ask... After supper we went for a leisurely skate around the neighbourhood on the bike paths. Follow that up with a meet and greet with my aunt, uncle and cousin from down the street who came over for supper and the evening was complete.

And because of all that normal social life type stuff, I have lost 3 stars in my sportsmanship ranking on XSN Sports. I misssed a ton of tennis games in a season that just ended last night. Shame on me for having a real life. Sorry guys. But I've never missed a golf game online yet!

So summer setting in, politics are flying left and right on the television and it's getting a little stupid. It will all soon be over, I'll cast my vote (if I register soon) and see where it lands. You should vote too. It's important or something...

Hey, when am I going to play real tennis? must find the info...

Well, I'm blogging from work again! I don't know which is better, the fact that I'm already *kinda* goofing off, or that I'm working again? :D

But anyway, fun weekend I had. Rented a couple movies, played some online games, went downtown a few times, so all in all it was fun. I rented Gothika and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. I enjoyed both movies for what they were. After seeing Gothika I find myself wondering why the 6th sense couldn't have been more frightening? Maybe it's just my random thought connections here but the connection is ghosts and people interaction. (And on the topic of 6th sense, I hope the directors next film "The Village" is better than the last two efforts of his I've seen.) And as for the league? Well it left me wanting to know more about Captain Nemo and his adventures. Damn movie made me want to read a book! And if you're reading this and thinking, what could you get for *MY* birthday... Well I wouldn't mind a copy of Jurassic Park, and whatever book Captain Nemo's from. 20,000 Leagues under the sea or something? Hook it up! Birthday's comming soon!

And on to downtown adventures! Saturday was the usual visit to Brixton's. Turns out the DJ has been showing up later and later these days so when I showed up after 9, nobody was there yet! Miss a few weeks and look what happens! Things change. But anyway, the same old friends were all in attendance, so it was good fun. Sunday I went downtown to meet up with a new friend. A friend of a friend that I shall call "Twin". This may not mean much to you, but for privacy sake, it means something to me. So I met Twin at Rideau, we talked, visited the whales at World Exchange, got supper, went back to Rideau to meet Mr. Milo and then we went for drinks at the Highlander pub. It was a pleasant evenings and I felt I got along well with Twin. She's very down to earth and definitely not vapid! Yay for non-vapidness. She even got along with the Milo so she'll fit in well with my friends. I figure if you can't get along with Milo, you don't have people skills! Ahh benchmarks. Live up to my expectations, I dare you! :D OK, I'm rambling aren't I?

So my father called and said he'll be in town tomorrow. I think I'll let him take me to Mongolian Village! Definitely don't get to go there as much as I would like. It's a bit far and I lack personal transportation. The bus just isn't good enough for out of the way places like Bell's Corner. I assume my father will like the food, since it's a create your own dish. The guy has likes and dislikes not too unsimilar to my own. (except for the whole fish thing, ick) And speaking of fish, because my train of though is often derailed, "Twin" is yet another east coaster who doesn't eat fish! Twin, Milo and Me no fish please. Yay for not being a complete oddity.

So anyway, I'm no longer on vacation. I had an interview today, and it seems like the agency is putting me forward for the training, which starts on Monday, and I have to go for the orientation, which starts on Friday. I did fairly well on my testing with my highest marks in the technical aspect (got a 97%) and my lowest was my french (70 something) but apparently it was very good, so I would hate to see what others got for a score. All my other tests landed around the 80% mark, which if you've ever seen a report card of mine, is *VERY* normal for me. I make stupid mistakes for some reason. It's like a flaw I think. I'm 80%. That's all you'll ever get out of me! Also, I started a temporary position this afternoon (the one I'm goofing off at) which will take me until the Thursday at least. I hope to make an impact and get things accomplished so it looks like the agency didn't send a flop. I wouldn't want to besmirch my beautiful representative's good name. She basically forced me into this job. I couldn't say no because I was golfing! :D (see leon's golf tournament in an earlier post) So now I'm working, and hopefully I'll be working all summer, so wish me luck and lots of shawarmas. Magical wishing shawarmas.

Now, say it with me people. It's pronounced dal-HOW-zee. Don't make me slap you.
