Dave Clarke - artist (almost) in residence
What Wave would not have ended up nearly as groovy looking without the huge input of our own fave artiste - Dave Clarke. Dave started working with us early and provided material for just about every What Wave published by The O's. He created 7 different covers, for Issues# 8, #11, #14, #16, #19, and #22. In addition he created the funky Cramps pinup that appears on the back of #13. Dave also created the cover art for every what wave release but two.
Whenever we needed a special header or comic for an article, we would put an order in with Dave.

In addition Dave also wrote regular columns for the zine. His Acid Tongue Column looked at Psychedelia, and every issue featured an ad for Dr. Disc Records designed by Dave.
Dave also drew a regular column on surfin' under the name Dale Dick.
And finally, he regularly contributed comic strips on the coolest of subjects!
