What Wave Issue 19
Released this one in October 1990, after the addition of another permanent staff member, Erika Ann, who came on board in April of that year. There's a coupla pix of the newest WW'er featured in this ish. This one has the distinction of having a wrap around cover featuring 2 totally different covers and is actually 2 issues in 1, 19 and 19 and a half (you had to flip the mag over and turn it upside down to read the other half). The cover on 19 is some killer artwork by the now famous Darren Merinuk, flip it over and the other cover is resident artist Dave Clarke visiting the ultimate garage sale! Cool or what?
This ish came with another cassette, aptly titled, Baloney Sandwich, another mess of noise from WW. Around this time we released our first 12" EP on the WW label, The Minstrels 'Come Out To Play' a 6 song poppy/mersey beat inspired chunk of vinyl. A few copies are still available, email for details.
Interviews this time with Billy Miller, Roy Loney (thanx Mole), Grave Digger 5, Gerard Van Herk (from Deja Voodoo talks to Gruesome Bobby), The Creatures and Untamed Youth.
