What Wave Issue 22
This was the final print issue and came out in early 1995. This ish chronicled the history of indie bands in London from the late 70's, right up to the mid 90's, via family trees of the various bands. The bands in the trees are interconnected by members of the bands that have been in more than 1 band in the tree. Sounds kinda silly, but it looks good and it just shows how incestuous the scene is/was right here in London Ontario. The cover for this one was once again drawn by Dave Clarke and features caricatures of some of the people from the bands chronicled in this ish. Can you figure out who all of the people are?
This ish also came with a cassette called London Crawling that featured late 70's bands right up to mid 90's bands. We wanted to get a lot more of the earlier bands for the tape but tracking down people from back then to get permission to use their songs wasn't always the easiest. As usual, tape cover art by Dave Clarke.
