To Bessborough
Drive Public School: |
We're glad we had the opportunity to speak
to the students about bullying. Thank you for sharing your thoughts
and experiences on this topic. Together we explored the fact that
everyone has feelings and although we are all different, we all want to
be treated the same - with kindness and respect. It was also fun
showing you the process of turning an idea into a finished colourful picture
book. Thank you students from JK-6 for being such an excellent audience!
Thank you also to Ms. Kent for making this day possible! |

To Beaumonde
Heights Public School: |
We were delighted to have had the opportunity
to spend the day at your school! Every class, from Grade 1 to Grade
7, took part in a lively discussion with interesting questions. There
are many talented writers, poets and artists in your school. We mentioned
the Canadian Children's Book Centre many times during the day because it
is a helpful resource for creative students. Here is a link to their
website: www.bookcentre.ca We
hope that you will continue to treat each other with respect as you use
your education to follow your dreams. Thank you to Mrs. Szamosi and
the entire staff for making us so welcome in your school! |

Junior Public School: |
Thank you to the Grade 2 classes for being
such an excellent audience! We were happy to be able to spend an
hour with each group, which gave us time to get to know you. It was
nice to hear that many of your parents, family and friends are also artists!
We hope that we have given you some good ideas to use for your up-coming
project of making your own picture books. Thank you to Ms. Siegner
for arranging this special morning. |

To William G.
Miller Junior Public School: |
The students at
William G. Miller Jr. P.S. are a very enthusiastic and creative group!
We met many aspiring young authors, illustrators, artists and cartoonists
and wish all of them success in pursuing their dreams. We were happy
to have had the opportunity to speak with the grade six classes.
Their questions were insightful and it was our pleasure to speak with such
and intelligent and mature audience! Thank you to Mme. Mardirossian
for making this day possible. |

What an enthusiastic
group of students we met at Swansea Public School! The questions
and comments about the book were well thought out and original. We're
glad you liked the book and hope it will be a lasting reminder to always
treat others the way you would like to be treated. Thank you Ms.
