Sid the Mad Little Bad Little Dragon is one of those stories that all children
can relate to in some way; from Tommy, the shy little boy that everyone
ignored, to the dragon that everyone avoided.  Chris Daniels has been able
to convey, through simply telling the story in verse, real feelings; such as,
fear, anger, loneliness.

As the story unfolds, the reader becomes aware of his/her own experiences
surrounding these emotions.

I have presented the story to children from ages 3 to 12, and it has been
well received.  The story is a great reference point for dealing with conflict
in the school yard, or in the classroom.

My grade 4 class has presented the book through dramatic form.  It was
interesting to observe how naturally the children got into their respective
roles.  The audience, a primary group, was very attentive and appreciated
the "happily ever after" ending to the story.

I work at a kindergarten to grade six inner city school and everyone is in love
with Sid!  Our four year olds all the way up to our twelve year olds really
enjoyed the rhyming tale of  Tommy and Sid.  The students could relate to the
situation and the teachers appreciated the positive message it taught, without
being preachy.

"Sid the Mad Little Bad Little Dragon" fit our school's conflict resolution
curriculum perfectly.  When our students were commissioned, along with a
professional artist, to create huge murals for the school to illustrate themes of
empathy and cooperation, the mural on handling bullies contained a scene
involving a tougher looking version of Sid!  Chris Daniels' book made that much
of an impact on our students.  Every school library should have a copy!  My
library can't keep them on the shelves because they are in such high demand!

Sid the Mad Little Bad Little Dragon taught me a lesson about friendship.
That lesson was to treat other people how you want to be treated.

I like the story because Sid and Tommy became friends.  I hope you are
working on another Sid book. I learned that everyone has feelings.

I really appreciate your story about Sid the Mad Little Bad Little Dragon.
The best part I like is when Sid and Tommy had found a new friend.
Your books are very colourful.  And your art is very beautiful.
