karl smith is a 20th level wardancer from the forest of athel-loren. escaping political persecution by the evil dark elves, he cast a shape-changing spell, and escaped to midgard three thousand years ago.

now living in the centre of great britain, he has adapted well to the human way of life, yet there are still some things he will never understand, such as greed, corruption and reality tv. karl now sees it as his duty to educate the world on the evils that exist within it, and as such, writes a weekly web-column entitled cataract resin.

missing the sheer array of colour from his home, karl taught himself to use human tools to illuminate artwork, and currently seeks widespread coverage as a comic book colourist. he is a music lover, his favourite bands being anyone with a good message. also a lover of the arts, karl ranks h.r. giger and salvadore dali as two of the finest artists to ever live.

constantly seeking amusement in this human land, karl enjoys bmx, video games, comic books and (quality) cinema. these things, along with the roleplay that so reminds him of his old life, keep karl sane while he awaits his chance to return to the magical kingdon of athel-loren and rescue his homeland from the insidious dark elves.
