Story:

Sandman's going to Hell. He's got to find his stolen helmet and has been led to believe that a demon has traded a mortal for it. So, it's down to Hell for the Sandman. But things are not as he remembers. Hell is no longer run by Lucifer, the Morningstar. Hell is now a triumvirate Lucifer, Azarel (the Lord of Flies), and Beelzebub (the captain of demons) rule in unison. And the Sandman isn't particularly welcomed here. Finding the demon with the helmet isn't the hard part though, Sandman must challenge the demon to a battle, but this is an unusual test to be sure. The two battle with words and magic, will Sandman be able to triumph in Hell?

The Good Stuff:

The Not So Good:

Overall:

This was another very solid issue. I like where this is going. Gaiman isn't afraid to tackle the big stuff right away. I'm not so sure about Hell being a triumvirate, but I suppose it really isn't my call. The demons were designed well, and there is some really decent implied history here. At the end of the day Sandman is pretty bad ass.
