The Borrowing Owl

  Meet the burrowing owl. It is a curious little creature that spends more time under the ground than it dose above ground.

            Its preferred habitat is abandoned ground squirrel burrows. Its lifestyle is unique perhaps, but unfortunate. Agricultural cultivation and the use of pesticides have taken a devastating toll on the owl’s reproducing capabilities.
