Peter and Trudy are a couple that I first met online, then had the pleasure of meeting in person in October 2000. The challenges they faced to make their marriage happen, and the love that made them determined to be together inspired these poems. |
For Peter and Trudy: | |
My love... | |
is deeper than the ocean |
|
that lies between us; |
|
stronger than the land |
|
that keeps us apart. |
|
Your face seen only in pictures, |
|
Your voice heard only by phone, |
|
Your love... | |
is engraved on my heart. |

As deep as any ocean | May God bless you and keep you
your love will endure. | wrapped in the joy of this day.
Always trusting, always faithful, | May He always protect you
never hesitant or unsure. | from ill winds that blow your way.
As high as the mountains | May your love continue on
soar above the ground, | all the days of your life;
No greater love can be found, | and may you always hold dear
than between this woman and man. | the day you became man and wife.

These candles burn in memory of Christine - my niece, my sister, my best friend. Rest in the arms of angels Chris, you will live in my heart forever. |
