Spelling Nightmares
Hey, how come "refrigerator" has no letter "D" in it, but we abbreviate it to "fridge". What the hell is going on?
Also, in last night's episode of Lost, the doctor's subtitles said "you're husband", confusing "your" and "you're" like a 12 year old on the internet. He's a doctor, you'd think he could spell his subtitles correctly. There better be an explanation involving nanotechnology and the Dharma corporation, or I'm boycotting the show.

The other day, I got a kick out of a local gang. The tagged a wall with "Beachwood Ballaz." Except it's supposed to be Beechwood.
I noticed the same spelling mistake in that scene with Sun and the doctor. I cringed and waited for a shirtless Matthew Fox to make it all better. (It didn't happen.)
That's a huge typo made all the time.
I am aware there is no 'd' in refrigerator but use it in fridge regardless. What irritates me it disrespect as a verb.

Actually, it's in the dictionary, so I guess that's actually the correct spelling. No wonder English is such a hard language to learn.

I really have no right to comment on anybody's spelling.
How come Nicholas has no K in it, but we shout out Nick for fun?
i noticed that as well and was pissed off for the rest of the show ;)
Oh man this was hilarious...both the Fridge and Lost...I was thinking the same thing!
If Nicholas was shortened to Nich, people would pronounce it like "nitch" or "niche"
Because people are dumb.
