I Saw the Sign

This is the funniest thing I've ever seen. A sign whose sole purpose is to warn people not to bump their heads on ... the sign itself. How deliciously self-referential. Apparently this is a real picture and it wasn't meant to be funny. Read more about it here.

Talk about self-justification. Maybe it's some job creation project, "Here, go put up these signs where people will hit their heads on it".

lol. That is pretty hilarious.

I also have a soft spot in my heart for this sign I see every day by the bus: "Welcome to Vancouver. A nuclear weapons-free zone."

Good to know!

Go Go Canadian tourist industry...

Oh, shit, I just remembered something about signs inspired by that last comment.

Some artist put up a sign on our side of the Detroit River entitled "You are now leaving American territory". If you can believe this, our city council decided this was so anti-American it had to be taken down.

WTF.

Heheh. Nice.

Maybe that Vancouver sign will deter terrorists. They'll be driving along with a nuke in the back of their truck, but stop dead in their tracks when they see that sign. "Damn. Nuclear-free zone."
