Your Number

By Danny Kuldip (dkuldip@sympatico.ca)

Eulogy to someone who passed away…

I hope that one-day every human being will have this poem written in his (her) heart.

This poem is titled Your Number

Greetings!

In the name of the one who is most high, believe it or not, your number will come.

I thank you all for coming here today……………….do you know why?

This gentleman is leaving us today, because, the angel of death came with his number.

Let me remind you in case you don’t already know, that sooner or later the angel of death will come, with one of our number.

What if I tell you that the next time that the angel of death comes, is for one of us today.

I know, I frightened you but believe me it is good to fear, especially when you fear God.

For if we humans, would only try to fear God, this earth will be like heaven. It is sad when someone dies, but he was ill, so, we should all bend our heads and open our hearts and thank God for not letting him suffer any longer.

We should also ask God, to forgive him for the wrongs he had done and may He have some pity upon his soul.

I tell you when someone dies, all the wealth, all the strength, all the brains, and all the friends, nothing, nothing can help them now.

The only one that can help him now is God. That’s why we should always treat everyday as our last one We should always do good and help others and love one another for you never know when the angel of death will come with your number.

I would like the world to know, that it was God who inspired me to write this poem.

Praise be the lord.
