The Explosion of the Internet had a profound impact across the globe. It is the fastest growing medium in existence, when it took only 5 years to reach critical mass. The astounding thing about it is, this is just the beginning. "It is an undiscovered country," where possibilities are vast, bringing the global community a step closer, where there are no recognized borders.

The internet can used in a positive way, such as a powerful tool for sharing ideas, making friends, promoting one's culture, community news, global news, medical break-through and business. Everyone is on equal footing, it does not matter where you are, whether you're a big corporation, a small organization, a non-profit group or an individual. We all share in a common goal and it is to reach our target audience, market of consumers and information seekers.

We are now looking at globalization of economies. We interact across the continent in real time. Technology and the Internet revolutionized today's business. The company of the future benefit from today's technology, enhancing productivity. However, we are far from equipping each household a computer. There is an enormous amount of room to grow as well as the reality of many dot.com companies difficulties in surviving.

There are many adversities in a growing global economy. We have to overcome difference in trade practices and establish a common ground, opening up trade barriers.
