My greatest secrets, my many expressions:

Neutrality. Indifference. I walk around with a book in my hands and maybe I look grumpy or pouty but I'm actually neutral and this is how I am when I'm not feeling anything but the day itself.

Biting my lip. I bite my lip and smile. I maybe picked it up from a cute photo I saw of my friend once. Often mistaken for "trying not to laugh." It's not that. It's just a different kind of laughing, it's mild embarrassment.

Raised eyebrow. "Oh, really?" Or, "I am not amused." Or maybe "I'm amused."

Smile. Mouth closed. It doesn't look like a smile. "Why do you look so grim in that picture?" "I was smiling, damn it!"

Grimace. I've barely done this. "Hey look, you're smiling for once in this picture," my mother said. I was grimacing "menacingly." Often accompanied by growls.

My first love once told me that I would have smooth skin well into my old age because I am so expressionless.
