Bare Facts: Male ~ Born est.1952 ~ Died 1997 ~ Mother Unknown ~ Father Unknown ~ Children Goletas ~ ID Fin curved slightly forwards; thin, unmarked saddle

Booker was already a full grown male when the study began, so it was through shaky age estimates that we guessed he was born in 1952. This could be off, though. He was traveling with the matriarch of the pod, C4, who researchers would later guess was his sister. Also in his company was brother C7, nephew C1, niece Ivory and great-nephew Weynton. Booker, C7 and C1 were all born around the same time.
Booker was easily identified in his matriline because his fin curved slightly forward. He was well-known to researchers and whale-watchers alike, and after his sister's death, he helped his niece in running the matriline.
Booker was alive for the births of his 5 grand-nieces/nephews, as well as his 5 great-grand-nieces/nephews. He became especially close with his grand-nephew, Weynton, who he travelled beside often.
When Booker was around 20 years old, he fathered a calf with an I-Pod female, Egeria/I11. The calf would become Goletas/I13, and she would have two calves which are officially his grand-children (although orca society of course doesn't recognize this): Whirl/I75, and I108.
Booker died in 1997, at around the age of 45, a normal age for males to live until.
