Bare Facts: Unknown ~ Born 2006 ~ Mother Nodales ~ Father Unknown ~ Children None ~ ID Baby tucked next to Nodales

A85 was first seen on April 12, 2006, by researchers working out of Cetacea Lab. Described as "very playful", the little calf is Nodales/A51's first documented calf, although it is suspected that she had a calf before and it died before being observed. Nodales has already proven her excellent mothering skills by temporarily taking care of Springer, the lost orphan orca. A85 currently travels with Nodales and uncle Surge, as well as the rest of its extended family, the A5 Pod. If the little one survives 2 years, he/she will be named by the BC Wild Killer Whale Adoption Program.
