Sussex Parish
Churches and Tombstones
Of Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada
Updated November 24, 2001
Churches I have photographed in Sussex parish: In the town of Sussex are these present day churches. On Main street -St Marks Anglican Church, St Paul's United, Salvation Army. On Church Avenue – St Francis Xavier, Sussex United Baptist, also in Sussex is Wesleyan Church on Chapman Drive, St Marks United Church in Sussex Corner.
Note: these cemetery is available in book from John Elliott, Kirk Hill Cemetery board of director – Nancy Adams(me) is working on their card index, Wallace funeral home records and with the Kings Co. Record to make a more accurate record of who are buried in this cemetery. (work is very slow) but note John’s series of 4 cemetery books are very helpful if you are researching in this area. John has recorded the stones for the cemetery. But I have found out not everyone still has a stone standing or ever did get a stone. John also has made available a marriage book for Kings Co.

View # 1, view #2. The Trinity Anglican Church was rebuild in 1926 here are 4
views of church has over 1270 stones and is one of the two largest cemeteries
in Sussex Parish and probably the oldest looking at some of the dates. To get
to this cemetery (from the town of Sussex – head down main street and follow
signs to Poley Mountain) (main street

When you get to the “Y” in the road if you turn right on Needle Street

right again and just after you turn in you will see the cemetery.
