There are many images on this site that look good with the Lake Applet but are totally illogical! As a practical matter, if the webmaster finds an image that interests him and it looks good on the screen, I will use it if the photographer grants his approval. This is such a picture. To me it brings back memories, very pleasant memories, of my Mother long departed, and of times when the world moved at a slower pace than it does today. I like the silver thimble and wish I had one just like it. Whatever happened to all the free time and leisure we were supposed to be enjoying? Anyway, this image pleases me and I do hope that it pleases you too!
