Tournament Rules Page

HACKING:

Any player caught hacking will be removed from this and all future tournaments. Each player can ask their opponant for Three(3) screenshots during the course of any One(1) game. Beyond 3 screenshot requests, the player may refuse to take a screenshot. Use your 3 chances wisely. This rule is to prevent players from demanding screenshots every few moments, and ruining the flow of the game. If a player is caught hacking by either screenshot or replay, it should be sent to my E-mail immediately for review. If a player denies a screenshot when you have NOT exceeding the 3 request limit, REFUSAL WILL BE ASSOCIATED with HACKING. War Latency is not considered a hack, HOWEVER, a Player MUST ask his opponant for permission to use WarLat, and the opponant must AGREE with his request to use the program. This allows the use of a mutually beneficial program, without giving one player the edge.

DISCONNECTS:

Within the first few moments of a game, a disconnect will be viewed as "Force Majeur", and the game should be rehosted as normal. If a disconnect occurs more than 5 minutes into the game, it will be very important to take a screenshot of the stats, if you feel you were winning said game. In a dispute over this, screenshots showing a CLEARLY LARGE MARGIN of statistical dominance, it will be ruled a win. If however, a player Disconnects twice in a row, unless it is still very early in the game, it will count as a loss. If a player saves a game before dropping, their opponant will have the option to play the save, or accept the win. This is to prevent from DISC HACKING.

CONSPIRING:

If players in a given round, decide to play settings that werent intended for said Round or Game, both shall be removed from the tournament. While I know some of you will dislike some of the map and resource settings, these are purposely selected to ensure diversity, and that the Champion is truly a great all-around player, not simply a "1 pud wonder". Those caught will not be permanently banned from tournaments hosted by this page, but will be automatically disqualified for that days tournament, or stripped of their ranking for future tournaments.

RANKINGS AND MAP SELECTION:

The tournaments hosted here are going to follow the typical format of NCAA basketball, in which Highest Seeded teams or players, will face the Lowest seeded. This is a method of rewarding players who have earned their chance to play easier opponants through the first few rounds. This is also to encourage better players to play against typical average players. A player who has not yet been ranked by previous tournaments, will be started at the bottom, only replaced when another unranked player joins the tournament. This encourages unranked players to signup as soon as possible, for a chance at an easier round 1 opponant. Its also extra incentive to place well, even if you dont win the entire tournament. Map selection will be decided by polls, and player response on Axo's Forums, aswell as map nominations from myself. This gives me the opportunity to let the players decide their settings, while also ensuring that a larger array of maps are used.

ALL FINAL SERIES OF EVERY TOURNAMENT WILL BE PLAYED KOTH STYLE. This means, that the first game will be played on pre-determined settings. The loser of the first game chooses the Map, and the winner of Game 1 chooses the resources. This shall continue until a winner is crowned. ALL FINAL SERIES WILL BE AT LEAST BEST OF 5, TO HELP REMOVE THE CHANCE FOR FLUKE WINS.
