An unusual image of a swan running to get airborne. To be quite honest, the image is not the best for use with the "Lake" applet, with part only of the water reflecting. None the less, I think that visitors will enjoy the image and it merits inclusion. The image comes from the Soviet image site (PhotoArt of Nature) available here . I do not know the name of the photographer but hope he or she is pleased with its use. You used to be able to see the whole image by clicking here, but it now links to a very different image. Sorry about that! When I have some time, I will try to find the correct URL.
