This image I know comes from the NASA website. It is a 1997 image of shuttle "Discovery" as it leaves the launch pad at Kennedy Space Centre on August 7th 1997. NASA claims no copyright on the images it posts so the image is free to use. Discovery is the 3rd of the orbiter vehicles and first flew on August 30th 1984. When these words were written, it had completed 26 flights, the most recent being in May 1999.
