Bare Facts: Male ~ Born 1982 ~ Mother Sophia ~ Father Unknown ~ Children Unknown ~ ID Small nick near tip of fin; 3-4 scars half-way down right side

Kaikash, or A46, is the youngest of the three brothers. He was born in 1982, which means his dorsal fin only 'spouted' AKA grew bigger very quickly, about five years ago. The end result, seen above in his ID photo from KILLER WHALES 2nd EDITION, ressembles another well-known whale, Strider (A6), just slightly less noticeable. The feature that distinguishes his fin from his older brother Plumper is the slight nick near the top.
His mom died when he was only 16, around the time his fin was growing. The three brothers now stick together, and Cracroft and Plumper look after the youngest of the bunch.
Kaikash is mentioned in In the Company of Whales: From the Diary of a Whale-Watcher. He's probably named after Kaikash Creek, a popular spot for kayakers who want to see whales.
