Hope was born in 2004 to Simoom (A34). This is Simoom's fifth calf. She's a great mom-they all survived their first years.
When Hope was born, the family consisted of mom, and his/her four sisters and brothers, Echo, Misty, Eclipse, and Stormy. Sometimes they traveled with granny Scimitar and uncle Nimpkish.
Then, when Hope was a year old, his/her sister Misty gave birth for the first time, to A83.
Now, Hope is healthy and bobbing alongside mom, tucked in with the rest of his/her large family. Early 2006, the BC Killer Whale Adoption Program gave the little calf the name "Hope".
Sadly, in 2006, Hope lost her older sibling Stormy.
