A47 was born in 1983 to A10. When he/she was born, the family consisted of his/her mom, uncle A4, sisters Kelsey and Yakat, nieces Skagit, Siwiti and Sutlej, and nephew Skeena.
Actually, Skagit, Siwiti, Sutlej, and Skeena(enough s's?) may have been born after A47's death, but I think it was before.
A47 is often counted as one of the infant mortalities in the A4s. However, he/she didn't die BECAUSE of the perilous first year. The little calf was shot at the rubbing beaches, as A10 showed a horrified whale-watching boat afterwards.
The small whale disappeared that year, along with A10. A47's life was cut sadly short by some ignorant person. Guns are not the answer!
