Swiss Steak

1/4 cup oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 medium onion, sliced
1 green pepper, sliced
4 oz mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup flour
21/4 llbs, round steak, tenderized
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp thyme
3 cups tomatoe puree

Heat a large skillet, add oil. Saute onion, garlic, green pepper and mushrooms until tender. Flour the tenderized meat. Then brown in the oil with the vegetables. Add seasonings and tomatoes. Cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours over low heat.
