MESSAGE FROM NITA CONCERNING THE PASSING OF MR. GARNET OULTON |
Verdun, February 5th, 2004
« It is with great sorrow that the Nuns’ Island Tenants Association (NITA) learned of the passing of Garnet Oulton.
Several long-term tenants will remember Mr. Oulton. Some will say that he was President of the Island’s builder, Metropolitan Structures, but beyond the bricks and mortar, for us, the builder of the community was none other than Mr. Oulton himself.
Many amongst us will remember his kindness, his concern for the comfort of his tenants, and his involvement in the community. A humble man, many knew him as a neighbour. He was, and will remain in our thoughts, a true gentleman.
My fellow Board Members and NITA’s members join me in extending to Mr. Oulton’s family and friends our deepest condolences”, stated Mr. Jacques P. Anfossy, Secretary and Acting President of NITA.
