This provides dated documents to refer to. Please note that such exchanges do not have the same strength in court as a letter (even if unregistered) and that a letter to refuse proposed modifications (including rent increases) should be sent by Registered Mail. Alternatively, you could hand-deliver the original of your refusal to the landlord, together with a photocopy. Ask the Receptionist to sign, date and stamp the copy, that you will retain. |
