Current problems
- Appearance:
- It is not very user-friendly because it lacks a way to trackthe
links we previously visited.
- It does not make proper use of the space available. For example,
the home page is only at the top right hand corner.
- The sizes and colors of the buttons make them too small to be
noticed.
- They need a link for both English and French Canadians on the
home page
- Functionality:
- The lack of online catalogue.
- As stated by Mr. & Mrs. Gustafson (distributors of Amway),
this web site contains basic information that could be useful to the general
public but is not beneficial to Amway’s independent business owners
(distributors).
- They don’t have a search engine.
- In 1998, it was reported that Amway had 78,000 independent distributors
in Canada. Therefore, it is disappointing that they have only 3 Canadiansuccess
stories on their web site. Also, all of their success stories wereonly from
Ontario even though Amway distributors are all around Canada.
- It contains a lot of useless links. For example, there are 6
links to catalogue when each catalogue only contains around 7 to 8 linesof
very general information.
