Austin is one of the oldest fuzzies, Coco and Taz being the eldest. He is a sable male with a lovable personality. He is the
type of ferret that always wants to be by your side and when you do
eventually pick him up, he flops his head back waiting for you to
either give him a big kiss or a nice scratch. Austin is very trusting and won't even hurt a fly. I don't think being a guard ferret is in his
job description though...he is more of the muse or the joker of the group. Also, I think he may be
partially deaf.

 Cricket is sort of the little princess of the group. She likes to have everything neat and tidy. Cricket makes sure
all toys are kept in their designated spots and that all treats found on the ground are fair game and must be eaten as soon as possible.
Cricket also won't be the first to try something new, she usually sends in one of the big boys before she'll check it out. She is also pretty smart...can't leave her alone for a second.
Cricket is a white-footed sable female with the cutest little black button nose.
She is the type of ferret that is very independent or at least acts like it. Cricket will find things to keep herself occupied but, when
the time comes she always lets mommy know when it is time for her to
be fussed over. She is very spoiled. =P

 I tell you...when it comes to treats...This guy won't give an inch. If he hears one rattle of the treat jar or even if he sees it in your hand...Rocco will certainly follow you around for quite sometime.
Rocco is the Baloo of the gang. He is a chocolate sable male and happens to be the chunkest
ferret I have (hence the nickname, Chubbs). He loves back and head scratches, especially when he wakes up. Rocco can stay in your arms forever during that session. Don't be fooled though, he may look like a teddy bear but, once he is fully awake, you can't cuddle him for a second...lol.
Rocco is also Cricket's Batch Brother.

Willow was our very first whitey. She is very hyper-active and loves to play with you.
Willow is our second female ferret and with the exception of Cricket is one of the smallest of the
bunch. Also, motherly instincts are always present in her everyday life. She enjoys giving the boys a groom and she even eats the food that they drop on the cage floor. As if she wants to clean up the mess.
She also enjoys chewing things. Mainly she likes socks, anything made of paper, and her favourite straw rattling ball (it sounds like a rattle). She will carry that anywhere. It is also perfect for finding out where she is when its time to go back in the cage.
Willow's batch brother is Casper.

Casper is our second whitey. After I
brought Willow home with me from the pet store, I kept thinking
about Casper. I wanted an Albino ferret and It was very hard to
choose between the two of them. But, I picked Willow because I
thought Cricket would want a sister. Every week I would return to
the pet store and see him there in his cage, ALONE. After two weeks,
I couldn't bare to see him like that anymore so, I decided that I
would take him home as well.
Casper is the Friendly Ferret of this ferrety pack. I am glad I decided to bring him home with me.
He plays with everyone non-stop, including the cats. He also loves to give kisses every once in a while. Casper seems to
know when you need one, as if he has a six sense. It sure does make you feel better. Casper is pretty big for his age and very fluffy.
He won't fight you if you want to pet him for a while, which is always nice. But, I wouldn't recommend leaving any naked skin near him for quite sometime. He has a
thing about that...and will usually give you a nip....lol. I think its his way of saying ...hey, I'm here! Don't ignore me...play with me!...

Ferris was adopted from the Ferret Aid Society in Mississauga in
late June 2001. When I first saw him, he was by himself in a huge cage
curled up in a little hammock. As I peered in closer, his head
looked up and he had the sweetest little face, like pooh bear.
Thought's ran through my mind at that moment...what kind of person would give up a
cute fert like him. I started to think of how he would enjoy living
with the dooksters at home. It would be the perfect haven. I had visited the Society seeing if there
was anything I could do to help. Unfortuately, I didn't have a lot of time to spare...so, I did the next best thing and provided a home
for Ferris. I kept Ferris's name as it did fit him and he seemed to respond to it
best. The first couple of days were noisy. Ferris was pretty
disturbed with so many dookies wanting to cuddle with him.
Especially, since he was use to sleeping on his own. Now he'll sleep
with whom ever, where ever. He is such a sweetheart. =)
Ferris has grown into some customs that he likes to do often. When I first let him out, he will go up to you expecting to be picked up. If you don't, he will keep nipping at your feet til you do. Once you pick him up, he expects his regular back rub. Once he gets this...he is happy as a peach.
Ferris also likes to take your socks off. He will pull them off and carry them away. He always piles them in front of my closet door, which is perfect. I don't have to find them and they are already in a pile for washing..hehe!
He is the only ferret I have adopted. When I first got him, he would bite quite often. You couldn't trust him at all. Well, its been almost two years...he has turned out really well. I've got him hardly biting and he will now even give you kisses. =P

Coco is one of my boyfriend's ferrets. She was his first ferret and opened my eyes to the world of ferrets.
She is the oldest of our twelve dooksters. She is a sable female who is curious about
everything. No corner, box, etc. gets left unturned or investigated.
She enjoys giving kisses a lot too..well, only to my boyfriend. She is very picky about who she gives kisses too. Coco is really daddy's little girl. =P
I think Coco is the cutest when eating her food. She crunches the food til its very fine all the while she has her eyes closed and tilts her head from side to side...lol. I guess you could say
she really enjoys her food.

Taz was the second ferret we brought home. He is another one of my boyfriend's ferrets.
He was the noisest ferret we ever heard when he was first brought home. A
constant noise maker! =) He also enjoyed sleeping in your arms and would also curl up in your shirt.
Unfortunatly, now that he is older he won't stay still in your arms
but, at least the noise stopped. It kept you up all night. Taz is the second oldest of the
dooksters and is a blaze male as you can see from the picture. He is also very territorial. Doesn't get along with any other ferret
except from Coco. But, he is cute anyways. He is our sock muncher. Taz will dig into a basket full of laundry just to find that perfect sock. We have found 20 socks in one spot before...lol!

perfect sock and then drags it away to munch on it. He also
gives the cutest expressions (tilting his head to the side
when he looks at you, etc.). Taz also loves to give

 Tango and Cash were rescued (as we put it) from a
pet store that had no idea how to take care of ferrets. We found
them in a cage, totally filthy due to the fact that the bottom of
there cage was full of newspaper. There were no ladders to get to
the different levels of the cage where there hammock was. So, they
were forced either to climb the side of the cage to reach the
hammock or sleep with their poop. We had already enough fuzzies to
care for but, when we saw how these poor little ferts were living we
had to take them home. But, not without giving the store manager a piece of our minds...not to mention how to properly clean and set up a cage.
I guess they have learned cause we have gone back there and everything looks good.
Cash is our deaf ferret but, that doesn't stop him from being a ferret. He loves hugs and giving kisses, a total people ferret. Cash is a regular jumping bean. When he gets
excited, he can hop for at least a miniute long...lol. I have never seen a ferret jump so much. Its like he has springs in his legs. Cash is also our only DEW (Dark Eyed White) and was brought home (as it says above) with his batch brother, Tango.

Tango is our little otter. When we brought him and Cash home we had to give them a bath. They were so filthy with the ink from the newspapers it took two washings.
From previous experience, most of our ferrets hate baths. Cash proved that. He hated it but, Tango took to the water. He would dive under (the water wasn't that deep) and instead of standing would try a ferret paddle(similar to the doggie paddle =P).
It was one of the cutest things we had seen a ferret do. Tango also loves to play with the vibrating fish toy. He will hold it in his front paws and pull the tail to make it shake. Its one of his favourite toys. He is a really smart ferret. Tango is a Silver Roan and is Cash's Batch Brother.

Tango loves to swim. The first time he had a bath. He
reminded me of an otter.His whole body was under the water,
paddling around the tub, then coming up and giving us the

 Zeke weighed 2.2 lbs and boy was he a bundle of
energy when he was brought home. My boyfriend purchased him from Super Pet. He was all alone
in a big cage. He was such a little sweetie. Everytime we went to
Super Pet we kept hearing the pet store employees telling people
that the white ones bite a lot more than the others. They seemed to
not listen to us when we told them that it wasn't true. All young
ferrets bite. You have to teach them not to. So, of course the white
ones were always left. When my boyfriend picked up Zeke, he was
ticked off because there was another cage with two ferrets in it
that were of the same age as Zeke. Now why couldn't they put them
together? They are too young to be set in there ways and I don't
think they would have fought. Zeke surely wouldn't have been alone.
I feel sorry for any of the white (albinos or dews) ferrets that go
to that store. They are too prejudice. Anyways, ZEKE IS NOT ALONE
ANY MORE. He has eleven brothers and sisters to keep him company
now. As well as two parents =P.
Zeke can be such a comedian sometimes. He gets so excited, jumping on anything that moves and then runs away...lol. He is our third whitey (albino). He was our youngest until we got Binx. Those two get along perfectly and you will usually find them
sleeping together in the cage.

 This is Binxy. I couldn't resist him and he is the
main reason I now have to ban myself from pet stores that sell
ferrets. LOL...I'm just too weak. He is dark all over and he was so
full of spirit I had to take him home. Just look at that cute little
face. Little did I know that he was a full fledged climber. When he
wants to go to the top ramp in the cage, instead of using the ramps
he climbs the sides of the cage. He's my little monkey..lol
Time has gone by...Binx is almost a year old and he has changed in looks. He is still the darkest ferret we have but,
he has lost his dark hood and is sporting the typical ferret mask. He is still very hyper and enjoys playing with everyone, including the cats.
He loves to give kisses too.
You can't leave the phone (cordless) near him. He always likes to carry it off as if he was trying to make a personal call...lol...maybe he has ferret girlfriend that we don't know about. =P
Binx gets along really well with Zeke. They are close enough in age that they have bonded on a different level from the rest.
