STORY 1: Tango's First Bath

When we brought Tango and Cash home, boy were they ever filthy. The petstore we had rescued them from, used newspaper on the bottom of the cage with no litter box. In addition, they had no ramps up either so, they were playing, going to the bathroom, and eating in that dirty environment.

We bathed Cash first...it took several tries as he really hated the water. But, since he was white (DEW) we had to bathe him still two more times. Then it was Tango's turn. We washed out the tub and filled it with clean water. We were prepared with shampoo bottle already opened and me standing ready incase he was going to jump out. We placed him in the water...What happened next was both shocking and funny to us since all are ferrets hate the bath. He sat there, looked up at us as if to say this is neat. Tango then flattened himself and went for a dive. He stayed under the water for a little while, swimming the length of the tub. He would also, put his nose in the water too and blow bubbles. It was so fun to watch that we held off washing him for awhile.

When Tango finally settled down we washed him with no difficulties, dried him, and put the little OTTER to bed. End of Story....That is how Tango got his nickname...AKA. Otter.

STORY 2: Ferris & The Litter Box

What can I say...Ferris was a little strange since the beginning...lol! I'm sure he probably isn't the only ferret that does this but, he is the only one I have that does. Everytime, I clean the litter box, Ferris is the first one in there. He digs, rolls around in there and eventually falls asleep in there. For some strange reason, he prefers the hard clumpy surface over a fluffy bed...but only when it is clean litter...lol! The rest of the Dook Clan just watch as if they are in a trance.

STORY 3: Taz & His Sock Ways

Taz has always liked socks... but, the socks that he prefers are my Boyfriend's (Daddies). I guess you could say the stinker the sock the better. Taz will go great lengths to get what he wants. He investigates everywhere. Once he finds a sock, Taz will pick it up and take it under the bed or in the playbox. If Taz can't find a sock on the floor then never fear, he will climb into the nearest laundry basket and dig around until he finds the perfect sock, grab it and take it away....LOL! Eventually, he will have a full box of socks...and when that happens...nite nite. You'll find him an hour later in sleeping in the box or under the bed on a pile of stinky socks.

STORY 4: Cricket Vs. Casper

I'm sure a lot of you have this happen. There are always two that steal each other's toys back and forward...my two are Cricket and Casper. Over the past year and a half, the Dook Clan has turned my room into their's. Underneath my bed is a ferret fortress, with tons of toys and goodies. In my closet, the ferrets have turned it into a kind of ferret retreat.

A half an hour after being let out...the war starts. Cricket will be first...she will run under the bed, grab the first toy she sees and hop away with it to the closet. Casper..and I still don't know how he notices it...Discovers something is missing. He then takes off like a bat out of hell to the closet, grabs a toy(not always the same one Cricket took) and scampers back to the bed. Sometimes they bump into each other along the way and then we have a funny ferret battle....lol. It is hilarious to watch.

STORY 5: Willow & Simba

If you have other pets then you probably have one ferret that really likes your cat or dog. I mean the first time I saw it I couldn't believe it. Simba (my cat) came in to my room. She only comes in once in a blue moon to see me and watch the Dook Clan. So, there we were...cat and human on the bed watching the Dooksters.

Willow came up on the bed...slowly crept towards Simba and myself. She then gently started to sniff Simba. Simba notices her and sniffs her back. Willow then walks around her and came to me. I petted them both. Willow then got as close as she could to Simba and laid down beside her. That was the first day it ever happened.

Now everytime Simba comes in Willow is right there beside her. It's soooo cute!

STORY 6: Rocco - The Moocher

Rocco, what can I say...he'll eat anything and he is determined. Even if you are trying to eat dinner, or taking a drink of water...he wants it. You can put him on the floor a million times and he'll just get back on the bed to bug you. Sometimes, I let him have what I have but, only if he can eat or drink it...like if I'm drinking a glass of water..I'll let him have a bit. As if the water in the bottle is not good enough for him...lol!

STORY 7: Binx & His Tail

When we brought Binx home he was a ball of energy. He got excited over everything. What's really funny about him now that he is a little older is that when he plays with another ferret and the other ferret is beating him or if Binx is winning his tail goes bottle brushed. He is the only ferret that does this while playing in the Dook Clan...lol! Binx is so full of emotion.

STORY 8: How Toes Got His Name
By: Tigge26581

The reason I chose "Toes" for my ferrets name is because everytime she is out of the cage that is the first thing she goes for is peoples toes. Plus I think it is a cute name afterall!

MORE TO COME, THERE ARE ALWAYS MORE FERRETS SHORTS...
