Beetles and
Butterflies |
|
|
Educational
shows with beetles and
butterflies is one of Jungle Jack's favorite
things to do. With over 40 large displays
containing a couple hundred different insects from
around the world from places like Africa, South
America, and Australia, just to name a few. These
insects are much larger then the insects found
here in Canada. No longer do you have to imagine
how large they are, but to see real specimens like
his enormous 17-inch stick bug. These specimens
will stimulate a childs imagination and they will
learn, as seeing is
believing.

These are not just everyday
insects, some of these are the biggest and most amazing
insects in the world. This Goliath Beetle that Jungle
Jack is holding is the heaviest species of beetle on
this planet, would you have guessed that he could weigh
as much as an apple and that he can fly! Amongst these
displays are the heaviest insect, longest insect,
longest beetle, biggest moth, tallest moth, and many
other fun insects that are strange and beautiful.
With
these amazing specimens from around the world, and lots
of wild and wacky facts, Jungle Jack will have the
children's minds stimulated both visually and
intellectually, and will be entertained with Jack's
amusing persona.

Not just for
kids
The kids do love them,
but adults find them totally fascinating as well, to see
insects of such size and colour from other parts of the world.
With Toronto being the most multi-cultural city in the world,
many people in this city have grown up with these insects in
their backyard. One person told me how the kids from their
country would catch some of these giant flying beetles and tie
string around them, and fly them like a kite. After you see
the size of these guys, June bugs may not be so bad.

Tails, and Minerals of the World

shells cut in half to see how they are constructed, fossils
like trilobites, ferns, shells, insects, spinosaurus teeth,
mammoth tusk tip, giant magalodon teeth, living fossils, and
minerals of every shape and color these are only some of the
displays that will be used for the educational program.
