Vessel
Isabella Bath - Michigan residents who trace their roots back to the
Netherlands may be able to find an ancestor on the list of passengers. The
350 ton "ISABELLA BATH" came into New York on December 19, 1846; Captain J.
Francis Kelly; Some of this group, including Jan Rabbers and Willem
Kremers, left the others in Buffalo, and walked to the "Kolonie", over ice
floats at Niagara Falls, arriving in Michigan in early March of 1847. The
were all from the Netherlands on their way to the United States of America,
leaving Rotterdam through the Hellevoetsluis; The trip took 65 days;

Vessel Molly - Passenger List - Pennsylvanians who are of
German descent might just have a relative on this list of passengers who
came in on the Molly in 1741.The following information is from the book
"Pennsylvania German Pioneers" by Ralph B. Strassburger and William J.
Hinke, published in 1934 by the Pennsylvania German Society, Norristown,
PA. The spelling is as it appeared on the different lists and the names are
listed in the order they appeared on the original lists.

Cope's History of Chester County, Walter Sheppard's Ships and Passengers
Prior to 1684, and George McCracken's, "The Welcome Claimants". Though not
all of these ships reached port in Chester County, many of those who came
over aboard these vessels did settle in and around Chester, Pa.

The Texas Seaport Museum has a database of more than 130,000 passengers who
first disembarked at Galveston from 1846-1948. If a passenger first
disembarked at another port (such as New York) and then traveled to Texas,
they will not be found in this database. This database is made up of names
from the National Archives microfilm, various book sources and information
from the Galveston Daily News. They will search this database for a small

sailing vessel Ben Nevis departed Liverpool, England in the first week of
September, 1854. It stopped at Queenstown, Ireland, departing there on
October 22, 1854 and arriving at Galveston, Texas in early December. A
detailed history of their journey and settlement in Texas can be found in
Anne Blasig's The Wends of Texas.
