East Side Mario's scored the only run of the game in the bottom of the first inning when catcher Brad Ethier hit a one out double to start the rally.  One out later, left fielder Brad Cashman singled to left field, scoring Ethier.  Those were the only two hits of the game for East Side Mario's as Sydenham pitcher Dave Hannah threw an outstanding game, striking out six.  Kurt Clark picked up the win for East Side Mario's going the distance and allowing three hits while striking out eleven.  On a defensive note, Sydenham centre fielder Hughie Vankoughnett made an outstanding leaping play at the left centre field fence that robbed East Side Mario's second baseman Adam Kyle of a home run.
