Napanee and Tim Kellar held Enterprise to only one run through six innings despite Enterprise having runners in scoring position several times throughout the game.  In the top of the seventh, Enterprise finally capitalized scoring four runs off of Jordan MacDonald to take the lead.  Napanee failed to score in the bottom of the inning after their leadoff batter reached third with nobody out.  Kevin Brown was four for four for Enterprise with two singles, a double and a triple.

 

The Napanee Jr. Express came out on top of the Sunbury Merchants in a sew saw game with lots of lead changes (4). Napanee’s Jordan Macdonald 6 K’s 4 BB’s 8 H’sout lasted Sunbury’s Bob Finucan 5 K’s, 3 BB’s, 11 H’s.

Jordan Macdonald helped his own cause in the 4 run sixth inning when with two out the merchants choose to intentionally walk Chris Lewis the batter in front of him and pitch to Jordan who deposited a single into left field to drive in a run and set the stage for Ben Tee to drive in two more Ryan Heyman also cashed in tee with his second RBI of the night.. The Merchants came right back with two runs in there turn making the game 7 to 6. Kurt Clarke shut the door in the top of the seventh and Macdonald escaped with the win when Brent Mills caught a two out line shot at the fence in right field off the bat of Mike Lafrance with Kurt Clarke aboard to end the game.

In Loughborough Fastball League play Wednesday evening in Inverary the Kingston Cowboys defeated the North Fred Kings 2-1 in a well played game.  The Cowboys jumped out to an early 1-0 lead scoring in the home half of the first inning.  Jeff Hannah lead off the inning with a single to right field and two outs later scored on a double down the left field line by Chris Switzer.  North Fred tied the score in the fourth inning on a solo homerun to left centre field by Cor y Brooks.  Doug Kane homered in the bottom of the fourth to centre field to restore the Cowboys lead.
