Bryan Brooks had a great night on the mound striking out 16. The midgets had a good night as well out hitting N.F 6:2. The high light being a two run shot by Ben Tee in the third inning to give the midgets a 3 - 0 lead. They relinquished this lead in the bottom half of the inning with two walks and two hits.
Andy Madden only gave up 2 hits but got in trouble with the free passes and some defensive errors added to the hurt.

Sunbury scores the only run of the game in the top of the first inning. Centre fielder Paul Tolles singled and moved to second on a ground out. After moving to third on a passed ball, Tolles scored on another passed ball.

Kingston Cowboys 6 Sydenham Amey's Drilling 3 in

The Cowboys opened the scoring in the bottom of the third inning after
Sydenham stranded second baseman Greg Orr at third base following his one out
triple to right. Cowboys centre fielder Jeff Hannah led off the inning with a
walk and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt by starting pitcher Ryan Sharpe.
Second baseman Jon Swaine followed with a single up the middle that score
Hannah. Catcher Craig Pearce tripled to right centre field to score Swaine from
first and Pearce scored one out later on an RBI single to left by left fielder
Brandon Burtch. Sydenham rallied in the top of the fifth for two runs. Left
fielder Ryan Bowes doubled to centre field and one out later scored on a ground
ball by first baseman Paul Hannah that was misplayed. After a single by Orr to
right field, Matt Rennie came in to pinch run for Hannah. Shortstop Chris Bowes
then singled to right field to score Rennie and make the score 3-2. The Cowboys
responded with a single run in the bottom of the inning. Pearce singled to
start the inning and stole second base to move into scoring position. Two outs
later right fielder Adam Lake hit a double to left centre field to plate Pearce
with the eventual winning run. Sydenham score once in the top of the sixth
inning off of relief pitcher Jon Swaine on an RBI single to centre by Hannah.
In the bottom half of the inning, the Cowboys scored twice to make the score
6-3. First baseman Josh Vanderzande led off the inning with a walk and David
Purdon came in as a pinch runner. Jeff Hannah hit a bunt single and Purdon
moved to third base as no one cover the base. Sharpe followed with a sacrifice
fly to left field to score Purdon. After a walk to Swaine, Pearce singled to
right centre to score Hannah from second.

In a game played on Tuesday evening in Napanee, Enterprise pitchers Justin
Heyman and Lyle Brown combined to throw a no-hitter as Enterprise Mortgage Intelligence defeated the
Napanee Minor Midgets 12-0. Centre fielder Andy Brown was 3 for 3 with two runs
scored and catcher Doug Weese homered, drove in 3 runs and scored 3.

Napanee Express Midgets 8 Enterprise Mortgage Intelligence 2
Jordan MacDonald picked up his first win of the season as he and Andy Madden split this game in preparation of a heavy work load this weekend at the Ontario Summer Games Team try outs in Oshawa. MacDonald allowed 4 hits in 4 inning and struck out 4. Madden allowed 1 hit in 3 innings but also allowed 2 runs the result of some free pass's.
They were supported by a three run explosion in the bottom of the first inning when lead off batter Chris Lewis tripled and # 2 Mike Roantree followed suit setting the stage for a monster 2 run shot by Ben Tee (over the trees in right center). Ben went three for four at the plate scored three times and had three rbi's.
