Game 1

Kingston Cowboys 4 Battersea Merchants 3
Battersea opened the scoring in the top of the second inning on an RBI single up the middle by left fielder Jason Moodie.  Second baseman Devon Lake led off the inning with a single to centre field and moved to second on a single by catcher Derek Shaver.  Two outs later Moodie drove in the series' first run.  The Cowboys used a walk to shortstop Doug Kane and a bunt single by pitcher Ryan Sharpe to put runners at first and third with no one out in the bottom of the second.  Battersea pitcher Chris Switzer recorded two outs on a comebacker and a strikeout before receiving a nice defensive play by right fielder Travis Monds on a hard hit line drive off the bat of third baseman Jamie Purdon to end the inning.  In the fourth Battersea extended their lead to 3-0 on an RBI double to right field by Moodie that scored Shaver who had singled.  On the play Moodie was able to score when the ball was errantly thrown into left centre field.  The Cowboys responded with a solo run in the bottom of the fourth when Sharpe scored from second base on a ball hit by first baseman Kevin Buchan that was misplayed in centre field.  The Cowboys stranded runners at third base in both the fifth and sixth innings.  In the top of the seventh Battersea had two runners in scoring position with two out, but Sharpe recorded a strikeout to end the inning.  In the bottom of the seventh centre fielder Jeff Hannah led off the inning with an infield single and moved to second on a single up the middle by right fielder Tim Murphy.  Second baseman Jon Swaine then hit a bloop single to centre field to load the bases.  After David Purdon replaced Swaine as a pinch runner Switzer struck out the next batter for the first out.  Kane then hit a ball up the middle that was misplayed by the catcher that allowed Hannah to score.  Sharpe then battled back from an 0-2 count to draw a walk to score Murphy with the tying run.  Left fielder Geoff Crawford then hit into a fielder's choice as Devon Lake threw out Purdon at the plate.  First baseman Josh Vanderzande then singled to right centre field to score Kane with the winning run.

Game 2

Kingston Cowboys 10 Battersea Merchants 3 in Battersea
The Cowboys jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning with two homeruns.  Right fielder Tim Murphy drew a one out walk and pitcher Jon Swaine hit a line drive homerun to centre field to open the scoring.  Catcher Craig Pearce followed with a solo shot to left field to score the third run.  In the third inning the Cowboys added four more runs.  Centre fielder Jeff Hannah led off the inning with a bunt single and two outs later scored on an RBI single up the middle by Pearce.  Shortstop Doug Kane then hit a two run homerun to left field and left fielder Brandon Burtch then hit a solo homerun to centre field.  Battersea rallied in the home half of the fifth inning.  Third baseman Greg Dixon led off the inning with an infield single and moved to third on a throwing error.  Right fielder Ryan Dixon then singled to score Battersea's first run of the game.  Centre fielder Jason Moodie then hit a two out homerun to right field to cut the score to 7-3.  The Cowboys restored their lead in the top of the seventh when Kane hit his second homerun of the game, this time a three run shot to right field, that score pinch runner Tim Ferguson and Pearce, who had walked.  Ferguson was on base after a single by Swaine.

Game 3

Battersea Merchants 4 Kingston Cowboys 3 in Inverary
The Cowboys jumped out to an 2-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning.  First baseman Kevin Buchan led off the inning with a walk and two outs later he scored on a triple to right field by left fielder Geoff Crawford.  Crawford came in to score on an RBI single by centre fielder Jeff Hannah.  In the top of the fifth inning Battersea rallied to tie the score.  First baseman Kurt Clark led off the inning with a single and was replaced by pinch runner Kevin Burtch.  Centre fielder Jason Moodie reached base on a bunt to put runners at first and second.  After the Cowboys were able to turn a double play catcher Derek Shaver singled to score Battersea's first run.  On the play the ball went past the left fielder and rolled to the fence allowing Shaver to score to tie the game.  In the sixth inning Battersea took advantage of two Cowboys errors to score two unearned runs.  Second baseman Chris Switzer hit a two out single and moved to third on a single by Clark.  The ball was misplayed in the outfield, allowing Switzer to score.  On the play Clark attempted to go to third base.  The ball was thrown into left field, allowing Clark to score.  The Cowboys attempted a comeback in bottom of the seventh inning, but stranded the tying run on third base.  Hannah led off the inning with a single to right field.  Two outs later catcher Craig Pearce singled moving Hannah to third.  Shortstop Doug Kane then followed with an RBI single to right.  Battersea pitcher Mike Paul induced a ground out to third to end the rally and the game.

Game 4

Kingston Cowboys 6 Battersea Merchants 0 in Battersea
The Cowboys took the lead in the top of the second inning when shortstop Doug Kane scored on a passed ball.  Kane led off the inning with a walk and moved to second on a passed ball before going to third on a ground out.  In the third inning Battersea right fielder Brad Cashman threw out Cowboys right fielder Tim Murphy at the plate to end a Cowboys rally with a strong throw with a wet ball.  The Cowboys extended the lead to 3-0 in the fourth inning on a two RBI single up the middle by second baseman Adam Garrison that scored Kane, who had singled, and left fielder Josh Vanderzande, who had walked.  In the sixth inning the Cowboys struck for three more runs on a three run homerun to right centre field by Garrison.  Kane, aboard on a walk, and David Purdon, pinch running for Vanderzande who was hit by a pitch, scored on the homerun.
