Results from the 2005 Loughborough Fastball League All-Star game

East 9, West 0

In the All-Star game both starting pitchers were able to keep the high powered offenses off of the scoreboard through the first two innings.  For the East starter Jon Swaine struck out four batters in two perfect innings while Andy Madden of the West allowed three hits but kept the damage to a minimum in his two innings.  In the third the East struck for three runs to open the scoring.  Paul Tolles led off the inning with a double and scored on a single by Brad Cashman.  After a single by Mike Paul, Dave Tolles singled to score Cashman.  Paul scored on the play on an error in the outfield.  In the fourth inning the East All Stars exploded for six runs.  After a single by Chris Bowes and a walk to Tim Murphy, Paul Tolles followed with a two RBI single.  After an error and a walk loaded the bases Kurt Clark hit a two run single to right field.  Derek Shaver followed with a fly ball to left field that was misplayed, allowing Dave Tolles to score.  Chris Bowes followed with a single to score Clark with the sixth run of the inning.  East pitcher Kurt Clark kept the West Stars off of the scoreboard for his three innings of work allowing only two hits.  Bryan Brooks relieved Jordan MacDonald for the West All Stars in the fifth inning and allowed only a single run in the seventh on an RBI single by Murphy that scored Doug Kane.  Ryan Sharpe pitched the final two innings for the East allowing only two singles.
