Gloria Haggard is the President of the Jim Gibson Iris Society.  She is the driving force behind creating the gardens from an empty lot at the church.

The garden includes raised beds containing historic iris.  Railway ties courtesy of Southern Pacific Railway.

My Personal and Highly Biased Comments:  It was getting very warm indeed when we pulled into the church just before lunch.  And it was an awfully good lunch!  The oranges were especially... ah, you had to be there.
