PLEASE READ THIS!!

The Intermountain Rail System is an HO scale model railroad located in Calgary, Alberta. It is not a real railroad or an operating business or transportation system. Although several of the cities, companies, or regions described in this web page DO exist, any railroad operations or business agreements related to them as described in this page are strictly the figments of my imagination. Adam Meeks and J.A. Spencer are or were real people, although their roles in the development or operations of this fictitious railway have been altered to suit my ideas. Any other similarities between people and/or events outlined in this web site and real people and/or events are purely coincidental.

As a model railroader, I am a member of a web based special interest group called the Proto-Freelance Modellers Special Interest Group. (PFMSIG) As such, I attempt to present my model railroad in as realistic a manner as possible, often employing real cities, locations, or imaginary business agreements with "real" companies to lend credibility to my ideas. Although these companies do exist and in most cases offer excellent service, no "real" business agreements exist between them and myself, and it is in no way my intention to imply otherwise. Likewise, any property, industry, or assets attributed in these pages to the Intermountain Rail System does not exist, save perhaps within the realm of 1:87 models.

I hope you will enjoy this page and be able to share in my vision of what a third major railway in western Canada may have been able to accomplish. If you find the content of this page to be offensive or otherwise object to the usages of places, locales, or business names on this web site, please contact me at matchless@shaw.ca and I will do my best to accomodate you.

Welcome to the Intermountain Rail System, and please drop by and see us if you are ever in Calgary! The trains are always rolling and the door is always open....
