I am away here and there and will have a more full update about the Nascar08 and my side of playing on the Ps3. I am liking the game so much, and yet it is very hard to get to get the time to sit and work on setups. I am a little behind but I am looking to make time to have a sit down to figure out the game. In the meantime I am hoping the servers come around.

HzzrdsFnst18, is looking to make a comeback by this Friday (August 3). HzzrdsFnst18 has had a lengthy away time from the game and for very good reasons, look for him on Friday and speedy recovery goes out to Andy as well.

Is there going to be a Chase to the championship? - Not Likely, and here's why:

I have before always wanted to see team race fully, myself included. However it is summer time and everyone is always out/away and enjoying themselves instead of inside on a game. I am one of them.

With the Chase before we done it where the top 8 made it in, currently there is 5 active HzzrdsFnst members and that leaves it way different from how I ran it before. I do not wanna change how things went before other then the method the Chase is run. We have the HzzrdsRcn side of things as well. I never intended or have yet combined the points of both teams.. Why? Because I created the RCN side. It is very much a Hzzrds team, but it is not HzzrdsFnst which was created by other's then me. I was there from the word go, but I have only jumped on board as team leader a year into the team's life, and I was 33% say with what happens. That still applies. The point system, our methods, and who comes and goes.

The 2 main leaders of HzzrdsFnst are still very much part of the team, still very much the owners of the team and still are very much into their name(s). Speaking with the HzzrdsFnst3, he mentioned what I so far explained and that is "there isn't a chase this year with there only being 5 active drivers it will just be who ever it is with the most points the day that 08 comes out". Anyone wishing to contact HzzrdsFnst3, you can find plenty of contact info on the forum and web page. He is active on his computer and will get back to you as soon as possible.

I do not or did not intend to give any false hopes as to how the teams operate, the bottom line and straight pure facts are that we are not 1 team, but a organization more or less. We have the same first 5 initials. We consider each other team mates, but we have a different set of team rules applied to each team. I cannot merge things like chase and points etc into what someone else established 2 1/2 years ago. I do continue to hold onto what I have said before and that is "Same leaders,Same point system, and same team mates" but with that there is differences as mentioned above. This is how HzzrdsFnst Motorsports became what it is.. It use to be simply HzzrdsFnst Racing, but with the addition of HzzrdsRcn, it became the organization.

My intentions have always been the same though and that was to have the second team race with one another and be recognized as Hzzrds. To be nothing less respected then our HzzrdsFnst side. HzzrdsRcn team is not 1 year old yet and HzzrdsFnst is now over 2 and counting. HzzrdsFnst have spread onto other games, and we do not have members else where that you do not see on Nascar. This is what you see here.

I have muttered the idea's to combine points but again that is not my say when it comes to FNST. I know you all heard me mull over them idea's. I know I have heard it before though and it has come to me about the RCN side and the points, and the chase there. I just added 5 or 6 more guys, we ran out of time on 07 to make it where some can have the points (based on the system) level out and be fair. I could change my name, race 4 races, lead all the laps, pole on all of them top 10 on all and score significant points. Thats difficult to apply that as legit points. I know on the FNST side, the new guys who came in on FNST when we had out first Chase, had to have at least 200 races run in order for it to be somewhat a safe n fair entry. After 200 races then it was somewhat known what they were able to do. So I cannot even say that at this point there can be a HzzrdsRcn Chase. I do however wanna find a way to collect points for those going into Nascar08 and right off the hop seeing what the game is made of and build a season of sorts for the racers remaining on the ps2. I would be happy to see something transform where maybe a 6 week run 2 races in the week that counts as a season run race, and points involved and that would make it a 12 track season with a Chase at the end. Or whatever, I know I have to see first the game's output.

Going into Nascar08 there is uncertainties as to how the game will play out, including how the team will stay together as far as numbers showing up. I want everyone to know that we are still solid, still intact, and still very much alive. We just are all on all different levels. I just now have to find a way to keep everyone content.

Keep watching here for continuous updates as they come, Watch week to week like regular for info as I will post like regular, and hopefully with an active stats section too.. See you on the track.

July 12.2007

I have updated the stats today. I also think that is my last stats taking until I figure out how we will have the stats played out going into Nascar 08.

I am strongly considering and almost 100% certain I am going to just name the current point leader our newest HzzrdsFnst Champion. Is this fair? Why no Chase?... Well we have under 2 weeks before Nascar 08. The only active HzzrdsFnst guys are in total 5, and it is not solid as it was a month ago. I will be talking with the team to see if everyone agrees on this outcome. Keep watching.

I am looking for many ways to continue to work with taking stats even if I am not on the PS2. I am going to the PS3 and know that not everyone is following. HzzrdsFnst77 & HzzrdsRcn017 and Myself will be the first to be on the second gen console.

I am excited to get into the action with more then 4 racers at a time, I was hoping it would be with the team as we always commented among our selfs that we wished we had the ability to races everyone at once. The chance is there now, but it is a costly system that causes it not to happen anytime soon.

A few team mates are looking to get into the PS3 as soon as they can, and with that I know that we'll be waiting for them.

The team as a whole including HzzrdsRcn is still very much going to function when the new game comes out. I am going to one way or another keep continuous contact with each member.

Keep it clean, Race Hard. See you on the Track.

July 5.2007

I am not able to get to the stats again today as I was caught up in some other matters. I promise the stats will be updated next week.

In the meantime, check out Nascar08 on the EA site and see all the latest videos. There is also a new Busch Trailer on the trailer site. I don't have the url, but you can find it listed in the forums on EA and also some game sites.

I am not sure where everyone and everything is going, the new console is gonna divide a few of us.

Denny Hamlin does it again, taking Pocono from the pole. News about 2007 has surfaced and you can also find the official EA sports web page with the info about the release & game.

Point system for 2007 is taking shape. Speaking of Pocono, this track had a few runs by us HzzrdsFnst this past week and HzzrdsFnst01 & HzzrdsFnst77 ran 100% on that track. This is going to be a track we'll be seen at for the next while.

This week seen the frequent playing from HzzrdsFnst3, whom is looking to make a full return when 2007 hits the market. The servers has prevented the HzzrdsFnst07 & HzzrdsFnst18 from running with one another and the HzzrdsFnst3 as well, and hopefully them issues change for the next season.

New bonuses have been posted on the forum for the Nascar 2007 season. These will take better shape when we are about to get our first week on that game underway. Keep your eye's open for more news to come with a new HzzrdsFnst team and point system all in time for the Nascar 2007 release.

For those who for some reason this week decided to call us HzzrdsFnst "Padders" should actually learn what our team is all about. We work more against one another in the team then anyone on the outside. If we push one another or net each other wins then we are simply taking away from things like our point system. This updating can take some time and getting our team points also takes a bit to do, I can assure you all, I would not do the points or stat collecting if any of us were stat padding, so save them comments for someone else. top

July 20.2006

Nascar 2007 release date is said to be Sept.6.06. With that you can expect many of the HzzrdsFnst to flip over to the new series. From my observation and the quick eye of HzzrdsFnst3, I can see a few screen changes buried in there that might not be caught until played a few times. First off the obvious is there, the tire wear meter to the right of the tach. On the bottom right corner the team "triangle" is there as well, with this year the Nextel symbol in the middle. Here is what was observed by the HzzrdsFnst3: A meter on the right side showing a long box with a % number inside and the bar was low. I decided to make a small check. It appears that meter is the race length. In the video it was 39% full. The lap was 6 out of 15, which actually is 40% but it was on the back stretch. You are on lap 6, but not yet completed it, so yes, that's 39%. Ok, I seen a quick flash of a word in red above that meter. I almost sure it said "Center" and as it went away it showed the damage light up on the car and a closer look shows that there is a damage meter on the roof of the car. The meter looks like it read 48%

The next thing I noticed was the lap times appear under the lap/position box, and shows the counting back of the leader and shows your current lap time then it fades off. I am guessing that this years version will probably be more how each and everyone runs with the meters being more visible on the hud. Ever run your tires and they just turn yellow and you wonder just how bad they are? That tire meter will now change how everyone pits. The damage meter will help the most when running more realistic "Damage On" races. I am going to gamble that "The Setup" is no longer going to be a factor. We all know that the optimum setup is the one we all actually share, and change up wedge to work with the drafts on Talladega. You run that top line, you can't pass, you run the perfect line you'll get that 47.9's. This year I am going to guess that changes with how you setup your car to run them tires. instead of the feel, the meter will no doubt give you a better idea how you can handle them tires and you will find your lines much better. The that's when wedge will come into play. Running low, you need a lower wedge to keep it tight to the yellow line, loosing it up more or less. A 4 wedge is tight and will push you high and perhaps with a 15 tire pressure and a gear setup to work on fuel, you might become that top line runner and perhaps hold that speed perfect through the corners where others might incline and decline through them corners coming low to high, and them tires will drop faster too... I am just guessing!! So don't shoot me if I don't make sense here... I am also taking some things I heard from some of you who went to the Pepsi 400 and got to play the demo. Apparently the FOV is quicker then 06 and also heard that setups are more a slider bar then a number. I guess we'll see........

This week was a fair turn out and we are still running strong. I changed up the forum a little bit to include the 2007 stuff, News/Setups/Stats sections added already. Keep watching here for changes as well to include the 2007 game. I am going to be letting everyone know how points will be collected for the 2007, and we'll be making a later date for our 2006 Chase soon after 2007's release. More to come..............top

July 13.2006

Back on schedule!! Since last post Tony Stewart grabbed the win and so did Jeff Gordon. HzzrdsFnst6 & HzzrdsFnst43 both won 50 bonus pts.

Still alive!! The team that is. Every week we are seeing 9 plus drivers running out there. Now many have dropped out for various reasons, but remain part of the team. HzzrdsFnst31 is very close to return. Nascar 2005 is not on the list to being dropped off the servers. Nascar 2007 (#38 on the cover) is said to be released on Sept 6.2006.

HzzrdsFnst77 is still playing. He took a lengthy break from nascar in the early part of the year but is now back out there giving the top 2 a run for the points. HzzrdsFnst01 is climbing quick and HzzrdsFnst07 needs that lucky bonus points to start shooting him into first. I don't doubt though that the HzzrdsFnst07 will have given the HzzrdsFnst10 a really good run before this chase or season ends and don't be shocked to see HzzrdsFnst07 out on top. Don't be shocked to see HzzrdsFnst77 come close if not take over.

HzzrdsFnst15 (me) is having a hard time winning and keeping control of the car. Mainly due to the lack of racing, I race weekly, just not many in one sitting. I am not handling the car right when being pushed, I am not responding well with AI on take off and I am not forcing my way out front. If you all see this change starting to happen, do not take offence when I just get control and take off for the finish line. I am sure I'll rebound. I am hoping for a few changes with the Nascar 2007 game itself. mainly I want to see cautions online and also back to using the D-pad. Here's hoping. top

July 6.2006

I am having browser issues it seems, even parts of the forum don't load and no doubt all due to Java. I am obviously not able to get the team's stats this week because it is all behind Java as well on the web pages... Check back next week to see if I had fixed the issues. top
