I am also going to be putting in a full day during the day where normally I would have the evening on a Thursday to do my busy stuff... Thursday December 21.2006 Everyone is very busy, myself included. I am not going to be online Fri - Sun this weekend. I am planing on maybe a little X-mas eve racing with who ever is willing to donate some points to me... It's been a steady week for people getting in some good races. Thursday December 14.2006 Another week down. HzzrdsFnst07 is back online. HzzrdsFnst08 popped in for a race or 2. HzzrdsFnst18 is being seen more through the week, and HzzrdsFnst3 is looking to steal points as well. This week seen 10 Hzzrds come out to race. With the holiday's coming, I am hoping that the other few who had been very busy do get a chance to chill and race with us. HzzrdsFnst1, he's working on getting the game, and the time to re-join us on the track. Something I have just thought of, and I want to address it more to our RCN guys then the Fnst guys... You are not required to drop out of your lead(s) and or positions to come back and help your team mates out or non-team mates. You can work with other's who is near but dropping many positions is not what is expected. You guys are new to the team and I know you have raced all of us Fnst guys plenty of times and know that we do not get pissed off if we do not succeed. Well sorta LOL... I am not going to point fingers, being as there is just 4 of you right now, but I know one of you seems to be (I know who) feeling like you need to do what I am so guilty of.. moving out of the way to give up the spot to more faster or skilled racers... Now I should be eating my own words, but don't give up your spot. It's better to fight clean for it and it will also help you not get so aggravated at your outcome. Your team mates should know by now that you are clean racers, and will not intentionally wreck one another so if shit happens, it happens. Yes it sucks to be taken out by lag or mistakes in the race but hey I need to point out to you all... Your wins are not your only points!!! In actual fact, your wins almost is least amount of your overall score. It will hurt your win % and does have a impact there, but really as I have always mentioned that consistency is key. Another Rcn member feels bad for those who gets wrecked out. Don't feel bad, I mean it sucks to be down n out, but it can have a negative effect on your mood and also look at it like this.. the more you witness someone on your team take a dive and go down n out, the more crappy you feel for them, then the more your going to feel like you don't wanna race the people who is in the back always because your going to start to assume these racers will fall out and you know your going to get bummed about it, so your going to get bummed right away before anything happens!!!!! Don't get bummed!!!! It will save you a huge headache when you eventually stop racing racers who have a negative effect on you. Seriously, it sucks to be out of a race, but it is not your fault!!! We race so many races over the week and with that if you can get 2 wins a day at least that is gonna reflect much better then if you come on a certain night, run 30 races and come out with nothing.. Pace yourself!!! This way to, that if you aim for 2 wins a day that your on, and work on poles, laps led, and top 10's for the rest of time, you will gain more then if you frustrate yourself and end up dropping so far back that you wasted your time racing that race. So remember, winning is good for the win%, but if your stronger in leading laps, or poles it will show up on your scores. Also the one racer,
I must point this out too..... Lets say we are on Dega, you pitted,
then your team pitted, and you look like your going to pass them for
the lead.... Now I fully understand you wanna make a race out of it
and include everyone possible at the line but, what is happening is
your slowing down to push a slower guy out front. This makes things
tough at the line for some as well.. Lets say I am coming out of the
pits, I am slow through turn 2 and onto the back stretch, next thing
is the leader is slowing to down to collect the slower guy... well
what happens is when everyone is at the line last lap and then this
crosses minds: I say this, and think about it. If we all wanna be at the line then we all should pick the best time to go in, pick what we will take and do it all equal and then wait for one another.. Actually thats not racing, thats a watered down padding really and it's not what everyone was thinking when doing it but HzzrdsFnst18 made me see this clearly earlier this year when I tried to setup a system where we could always be at the line and certain people help out certain people etc in the race.. ie if your in second, and the guy behind you is 5 - 8 seconds back, go get him, ask him if he wants you to first, but be courteous and go get him... Well 18 raised the point that is padding and we are not padders!!! So I say it is important to understand that when you are in the races, you are racing to have a good time and also win and get some points and when your actually grabbing people who are down, your handing them an opportunity to win.. We all should earn our spots properly! Meaning, do not slow to grab a slow car who just came out of the pit to simply bring them to the line and maybe lose to them or give them the win.. it leaves plenty room for everyone to wonder what they have to continue to give up or for those who do give up will come to expect return favors at wrong times. Lets just race, if we can't make it out of the pit in good time, thats our fault, we need to race harder. Now with that and it is common, but what can ya do? Drafting like a mother is fine, however it is gonna kick the lone pitter in the nuts when he breaks out to pit and others keep on screaming along. So with that, it is totally up to the slower guy when to pit... Pit with everyone? Pit sooner or pit later and fall behind when other's continue to draft. It's all by choice, and this game is a thinker's game too.. so If I pit early or later and I am not up to speed, thats my fault. However lets not confuse that with more then 1 guy down and it looks like something can be done to catch up out front.. If it looks like work is NEEDED TO CATCH BACK UP, get on it and get up front... You all earn your spots no matter where you are. You'll all maintain your self respect and team's respect when you actually judge how the race effects you and them with your decisions, but throwing your lead to just spice up the race is asking for trouble really... It leaves the above mentioned window open for who owes who what during the next race. Think about it, watch your next race with some of the top HzzrdsFnst guys, watch n see if they slow for you when they are going to pass you after your pit stop when they see the lead is almost theirs ... Doubt they will, and I can guarantee you though that they would never leave you out to dry as a team mate, it is what I pointed out... YOUR RACE IS WON BY YOUR STRATAGEY, giving that up to have 4 racers at the line is thoughtfully but it is actually asking for trouble. I know I said this last year, but I am going to again review or alter the point taking. I think I am going to add top 5 & 10's to the %'s as well. We'll see... Changes will not happen until I can see it don't effect current standings. I am aiming more for after a "Chase" to make these changes. It's a good group, lets keep it cool :) See ya on the track. |
| Thursday December 7.2006 The year is almost over. It is last year at this time that we had started to get the Chase worked out for our team. Things have changed in a year. The team is still running, most are still with us, and we also added a new group of guys to the HzzrdsRcn side of things. When it comes to the Idea of this years Chase, it is looking interesting. I am hoping to add both RCN & FNSt guys into the fold as one big Chase. With the Rcn Turn-out, it looks pretty promising to be a full run. HzzrdsFnst18 is looking to be back on more in the evenings daily as his shift changed in his favor. Watch for him. HzzrdsFnst77, I know he'll be around sooner then later. HzzrdsFnst07, he'll be around too pretty soon. I am letting everyone know that I have not been on in my typical pattern as well and it is due to getting some important things done for the holiday's and I know that this will be something more n more teammates will be doing as well... getting ready for the holidays. So don't count us out, we are only starting to grow.... See ya on the track. |

Well I guess now that the 2005 season
is over and as one of the group leaders it is only right to say a few words
on behalf of the 3 of us First off I would like to welcome all the new Hzzrds
to the team and also would like to say thanks to everyone for being competitive
as possible with not to many problems this year.. I understand that sometimes
tempers can flare...I am just happy that everyone was able to work through
everything without any problems. I have said it before but this team of ours
was made up as just a bunch of us to just be a bunch of us to hang out and
have a good time together and it has grown into what we now know today. I
would have never imagined in a million years that it would be this big at
all. There isn't anyone on the team that I personally cant say that I don't
want here and everyone knows that we are a group to recon with on the track
and off of course in whatever other games we are all on.
Now on to some important stuff here. Last night Dec 30/05 the 3 of us that run this team on Nascar have decided that we are going to hold off on the chase out of fairness to the 18. If anyone has any problems with that please get a hold of me one way or another and let me know so I can explain my feelings behind our reason for the hold up...Now that being said....I guess all that is left to be said really is thank you to everyone for making this team so close and fun to be on and be part of running. Also to all those who make the all important chase good luck to you and remember it is all for BRAGGING rights for the next year......Also everyone have a safe and happy new year and keep up with the GOOD name we have made for ourselves. Remember that we are all here to have fun. Thanks for taking the time to read this just wanted to extend my own personal gratitude to everyone........Keep racing hard and see everyone on the track.........Yours truly

Here we are, it is December 30th, the cut off date for the points. I am not yet updated on how this is going to go down. I still am going to copy out the stats at Midnight EST tonight, and keep them until I can post them this weekend or Monday (keep watching here for the updates on posting time). For sure Monday there will be info on what is going to go down (If I do get Updated). I do know some things though, it is simple that there is actually going to be a top 9. Why a top 9? Well, it helps with the lag. 3 racers at a time. The 9th is going to be the wildcard. HzzrdsFnst18 has some serious family issues to tend to for the next little while, and will be pulling out of the chase. Check back for updates over the next few days to see the top 9 listed.
New points? I will be collecting new points only after a winner is declared. Until then, only points updates will be the championship run. I am going to be on Nascar 2006 this evening Off & On, to see if I can get the details worked out. Soon as I know what it is that is going to happen, I will have it worked out and posted.
New Additions!! I see we have HzzrdsFnst1 & HzzrdsFnst5 playing Battlefield2... the clan is growing, and now we will start working on making it a clan that will war with one another!..

HzzrdsFnst1 has the lead still, HzzrdsFnst31 has dropped back a bit, and I am gonna blame the Battlefield2.Modern Combat game on that!.. HzzrdsFnst18 is collecting points but stays 116 points behind the HzzrdsFnst1. It was cool to see activity from the HzzrdsFnst20, even though on Nascar 2005, it shows he's back in here somewhere after a lengthy time away from the team and or game. Welcome back to the team 20! Should be playing 06, if ya don't like it, don't fret, I am not doing so great with it myself. Speaking of the Battlefield game, I am thinking about making it part of the webpage eventually. Not a point chase or anything, just updates etc on how we are doing over there, and it is to act as an lure to get more n more team mates to go buy the game, and we'll get the clan activity going and dominate over there. That would really be cool.
HzzrdsFnst77 has taken the poles lead away from HzzrdsFnst18 as well..
The top 8 race is still not yet worked out on what we should be doing, HzzrdsFnst31 is working it out and hopefully soon I can get the info out to the people who might get the chance to race HzzrdsFnst31 and get details. I am not worried about when it is going to happen, everyone keep racking them points, no due date is set at this time, so this means when it is, the points will stand and then the top 8 can proceed. Check out the Leader Boards to see where you all stand in your wins/poles/laps/ etc...
I have been giving 2005 a whirl again last week, what a big big transition, it is like driving a pencil with stickers on it compared to the look of the cars in 2006. I felt the car was so loose, and tryin to get that perfect line down, not happening just yet. HzzrdsFnst12 still plays over there, and she is racking up the wins and has passed me in points. I am hoping to get on over there this week n throw down a few laps with her, She misses her team!! She should get on 06 :)
Hope everyone has a great holiday, everyone keep playing in the new year, this is one of the tightest teams on Nascar Gaming, and I don't think 1 or 2 people have held this team together, it is simply everyone of us who continue to race and stay clean with one another and enjoy racing one another on here. It is continuing to be evident that we are here to race each other more then people outside of the team. We do race others, but this group accents one another.. HzzrdsFnst name has to be no doubt infamous within online racing now. I am really glad to see we have such a name that has stuck out. Everyone on this team who enjoys racing under the name has HzzrdsFnst3 & HzzrdsFnst6 to thank for starting this team and making it what it is today.. I like doing what I do, with the webpage etc, it must be heard how we all do in the game and in the team. The next update will likely be a bit after Monday December 26.2005 but don't worry, it will be updated and continue to show the racing community who we are and what we are.

IMPORTANT: A virus?? .. HzzrdsFnst77 has discovered a Virus in the web page somewhere, it is suspected it is in the short URL V3 that I am using, and it is out of my control as it is in the pop-up's they have for using the FREE shorten url... The virus is a exploit.htm virus as far I can remember, and they are said to be harmless, but who wants them on their computer?? Concerned? Use the full virus free URL http://ca.oocities.com/inker@rogers.com I guarantee that is safe.. Or do what I do, have a popup-blocker... UPDATE: HzzrdsFnst77 says it has not been seen again at this point in time... I just wonder what was being advertised that was the offending url in the popup.. And again this pop up is associated with the short url.
Leader Change - HzzrdsFnst1 has once again taken 1st in the point standings... Welcome HzzrdsFnst07 to the fold, and being he needs to be 100 races to be in the top 8, at this time he stands 6th with 33 races to make it in by Dec 30th. The top 8 rules are once again changing, HzzrdsFnst31 has suggested a different approach to how the champion should be crowned. I am waiting on his details to outline it here, it sounds fair. From what I remember him saying on last Friday night, that 5 races will be run with the top 4 of the 8, and 5 races run with the bottom 4 of the 8. Points will added up for 1st - 4th, again when he passes me along the idea in writing, I will post the new rules here... and it is not on a certain date, but it is within a certain time frame, and all drivers must agree on the tracks to be run. The idea also included Busch Dega be the race @ 50%, normal damage, nothing short of that... So watch your fenders!
BattleField2: Modern Combat is really taking up a few of us driver's times to be on Nascar 2006. HzzrdsFnst01, HzzrdsFnst3, HzzrdsFnst15(me), and HzzrdsFnst18 are playing that game... To be soon joining the game with us are HzzrdsFnst1 & HzzrdsFnst5. With more of us joining that game, it will be great as it is a clan action over there, we can war with other clans, and also get stats to run out on top. More on that as it continues to develop.

HzzrdsFnst28 first asked if the top 5's & top 10's would make it into the mix for points. I updated today and seen it would sway really big with the top 8 guys. I am thinking just 10's will make it into the new points that will come in mid January when the chase begins again. Recently tempers been flaring and I just want everyone to know, this is just a game... Who am I to say that though, it gets to me, but I keep that to myself. This team is big, it is growing, welcome HzzrdsFnst10 to the fold, and he is already in the top 8. Speaking of the top 8, the 2 names have been officially disqualified from the top 8 for reasons that are obvious. HzzrdsFnst25 is already running as HzzrdsFnst1, HzzrdsFnst5 is not running, and he won his first 8 races and that made his win % 100%. HzzrdsFnst10 counts, but he should try and hold on to his spot, as the more you lose the lower the % come down, so stay out front.
A few teammates have mentioned their interests in running the top 8, and that is cool, shows my hard work updating and making this point system is paying off, and remains fun!.. Now this comes to the chase, and that is who is willing to stay out front, and who is going to drop back to help out a teammate left behind... First, I want all the top 8 guys to make sure they do not drop back for me (HzzrdsFnst15) but we do have great teammates and leaders who are in this for the fun, and do not want to change the way they are and continue to help teammates who are down in the race. For those of you who want to keep running out front, make sure the accidents in the race(s) were not your fault, and use your own discretion to when you feel like dropping back. I would hope no one starts to feel that teammates have become dirty if someone don't drop back, remember this is a points race.
The top 8 is looking good, and good luck to all in the chase, I know this is going to be fun to watch. Top
New Points Leader!! HzzrdsFnst31 has come out ahead of the HzzrdsFnst1 by 20 pts and has secured top spot.
December is here, and it is 30 days until the points come to an end. We are going to go with the cut off date idea and then run clean points from the 31st till the 13th of January. HzzrdsFnst18 has been the latest victim to someone having his account suspended for 72 hours, and with no fingers being pointed, we all know how the issues with HzzrdsFnst81 went down and with the recent flood of forum apps from kids wanting to join the team, it is almost impossible to point fingers. I can only imagine what HzzrdsFnst18 is thinking, because he is in the points race and he is out of his account for now. Hopefully that ends there, and he gets his account back and he returns to running out front like he has always.
Pointed out recently, a teammate mentioned I should add the top 5's & top 10's into the points... I am going to check out that idea on Monday when the points updates happen and see if they have any large swing to how the top 8 run at this time... I will also check to see if maybe the top 5 & top 10 spots will be included in the top 8's championship run in January. It is most likely that the new point addition will happen soon as the new "HzzrdsFnst Season" begins after the 13th of January.
Just an idea, but
maybe be as simple as this (for each top 5's = 5pts) (for each top 10's =
2pts) Lets say someone has:
100 top 5's - 100 x 5 = 500 more points
110 top 10's - 110 x 2 = 220 more points
That would increase points by the example shown, 720 points. I'll keep that idea in mind when I do the updates and let you all know.Top
