New Leader - HzzrdsFnst77 has finally made it into top spot. HzzrdsFnst07 (as of Update Date) was behind 22 points in second.

Details on a Chase is no where near thought out. I see many team mates in the top 8 MIA and I don't suspect that we'll have one worked out anytime soon. Keep watching to see if someone gets posted as Champion based on points alone.

As I type this, I am now getting information (called EB Games here in Canada) that the game will be released Sept 8.2006.

More to come .....

August 24.2006

There has been change, last week I was pondering the idea of quitting the team. I have changed my mind and instead of walking away on the team I decided to work everything out that has been a problem recently. After countless messages early on in the year about the HzzrdsFnst10 wrecking people, I had tried to contact him and failed. He mentioned he was away and didn't get msg's and also was not racing for more then a month (see forum week to week stats). This was between April - June. He also mentioned possible someone else portraying him and was doing the dirty work. Ok, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, worked it out with him and he also got his headset working.

He returned to the game and was not doing so bad, week after week collecting his team points and winning the odd bonus points. This problem seemed solved. People continued to remove the odd teammate from their races when they seen our team name. After asking why, it was being said that the HzzrdsFnst10 was still wrecking, then that stopped shortly after. HzzrdsFnst10 defended himself countless times and it was then decided he would lose team points and we would go from there. Time passed, and a few have decided to let things slide and a few even raced with the HzzrdsFnst10 when they have refused to do so over a period of time when he appeared to be causing trouble.

2 weeks ago, after seeing that (without bonus pts) HzzrdsFnst07 & HzzrdsFnst10 were 1 single point away from each other, something occurred. HzzrdsFnst10 now seemed to be racing padders, 7 laps, winning a large majority of his races. The stats show that he went from the average 30 - 40 races a week to 100 races over that week, and an increase in laps led % and win % increased far more faster then any team mate. I know this is factual because I take the stats, have been for 13 months and counting, and seen this is the largest move yet for a team mate. My conclusion came when a team member wanted me to go back and check their progress over the past weeks and how they have improved. Then it started to arise that he was padding.

I never had personal issues aside from the game with the HzzrdsFnst10, matter of fact he's been very friendly to most of his team mates, and never seemed to have verbal confrontations with anyone. This is where it got hard. However, last week, when I was pondering the idea of quitting the team over all the issues, this one included, I got into a race with the HzzrdsFnst10, told him to add my new name to his friends list. He asked why was I going, I said I was just now letting the game get to me. HzzrdsFnst sealed his fate with this comment, and it is unfortunate. "What is going to happen to the web page, the stats, the forum, and our points?" I replied that if I am not on the team, I am not going to update these things, and I doubt anyone else is gonna pick up from there. He replies, "Great, this is bullshit, now we're going to be a bunch of asssholes running around with the same name, this is bullshit for sure." Wrecks out and quits his race. He don't reply when I asked why did he quit the race, he don't msg me until...... I came back on later on with my HzzrdsFnst name, and that is when he msg' me. I didn't pick up the msg as I was starting a race, and from there I had not seen him log in again.

To the HzzrdsFnst10. Your comments sealed what we all decided, and that was to have you removed from our team. This team was started without a point system and was a good group of guys who got into a race, chatted about everything under the sun. We would wreck, no one would cry about it, we would draft with one another and win win win win, and no one would cry about it. I had a fair stat with the 2005 game. Your comments totally went fully against what we started out as. The core members of the team who were there from the conception feel that your comments were definitely against what we believe in as a team.

This brings it to 2 members having to be removed over our 15 month period that we have been a HzzrdsFnst team. HzzrdsFnst81 left in a bitter mood, and he lost out because of it. If he had just left without issues, he probably would have kept his friends. People outside our team don't really care what happens inside our team, but people listen when someone is removed from a team and they get avoided like SARS. The more 81 raised hell, the more he got booted out of people's races and word spread like wildfire that he was no good as our team member, he ended up changing his name from even his original name because he took so much heat. HzzrdsFnst10, I would hope that you don't raise shit with your name, because that name will get blacklisted, and if further issues arise I will blacklist your original name as well. I don't wanna see anything arise from this, hoping that it all goes away quietly. I have many many accounts on plenty of places to push your name through the trenches if you do decide to fight your former teammates, but if ya do go quiet then things should be ok, and my opinion that your an Ok person will stand.

I have decided to keep the point system afloat in the 2007 game as it is for the 2006 game. The added difference is, we are also going to have a point system run through a season. We are going to have it where if it is Daytona week, we run Daytona, and get points for that. We are more or less going to have 2 point systems and 2 Chases. This works well with those who do not like the current point system or feels it don't work very well, and works well for those who wanna have a proper Chase and point race. So I decide we will run both, and it's totally up to anyone who wants to collect these points both or just 1 type of system. I am going to continue to collect stats for each team member the same way as now and including the season mode we will introduce come February 2007. In the meantime, we'll also work it out where maybe we'll run a fantasy season before then and this might give us a good head start when it does come to our weekly run through next year. No bonus points for the 2007 game when it comes to real drivers winning. top

HzzrdsFnst3 scores another 50 points with Kevin Harvick's win @ Watkins Glen.

After strong consideration, I decided I am not leaving the team, Instead there is going to be a big mix up. Nothing is being said, but I don't have much to add right now and things will soon be clear on what is happening with the team. The team is going forward into 2007 season, but points, etc will be the big change. Keep an eye out for an update before next weeks stats.

HzzrdsFnst10 scores another 50 points with Jimmie Johnson's win @ the Brickyard.

Something that has come up a bunch of times and I know now how it all works and perhaps why. First the 22 lap no fuel (Glitch? Cheat?) or as EA would put it, if it is in the game it's in the game... My take on it? Well I just know that we all should be playing this game for the fun aspect and not the hardcore competition that seems to be taking over some people. I might be wrong. I don't care what people do in my races, how it effects my race is when someone wrecks into me, thats when I will get pissed off. If people use things to win, then they are not skilled in the game as they appear. Again, thats what I think, wanna use it? go ahead.. you only effect how you compete.

Second issue is in the Busch races, and I think it only applies to the Busch series. Coming out of the pit to snag a car to then draft away. I think that it is not a cheat or glitch, I think it is working with the field. I understand that some do get upset that it just took away the chances for someone to compete but I always look for a car to grab and go with. Coming out of the pit and slowing the AI down to then take a car and run is actually resourceful. At first I didn't think so, but I would rather have a car and use it then drop back. If I am in the lead I would still do it because I got myself out front and I would want to protect staying out front. No real driver lets anyone catch up and take over, but we do, we are team mates and play what we consider fair. Again thats my take. Want to use AI to benefit then all the power to you. I actually think that when we all slow for one another (and we get more speed for doing that) and taking one another to the front is actually more of a crutch then using the AI field. Again, just my take.

Tension is on the rise again on the team, and various reasons for it. I can't identify anything strong right now. I am going to say that there is a few angry people. Reasons vary from taking DNF's to being dropped back in the race. I say if it is 1st lap then quit, if ya don't then you have your reasons, if ya do then your helping out your fellow team members. Me, it don't matter, yes it helps, yes it's cool, and yes it sucks when it happens when it is not a good time to drop the race for a restart. Do I want it to happen? I do not care if it does or don't happen, so that should be the answer to if ya should when I am in the race. I am just happy to race. For some it matters, and they do take it personal when they are "left hanging out to dry" and I don't know what to say to that, I mean it is a game but it is also time spent on a game and can be viewed as a waste of time.

Nascar 2007 is almost here, and I am hoping that we can all get back into the racing we all once did as a team. I think a few people should clarify what they are going to tolerate in a race good or bad. I mean, Me, this is what I want everyone to know: Drop back if ya wanna help, ask me if I want it, and also check to see what my plans are. I can't be pushed, I am getting better, but I do better pushing. If no one drops back then thats fine, I always have that moment where I wonder should I break out of contention to help someone even if they are 45 seconds back, and sometimes I do. Well a few weeks ago I worked out a possible plan (don't wanna call it a rule) when there is going to be a team standard, like who drops back in what pos. your in and how far the team mate is back and what else can make safe zone to help one another out, this should actually pinpoint if team mates are willing or not to work with one another instead of trying to make decisions. These rules will come out as fair, and after the past week or so, I think they might fly and hopefully will make things a bit easier On he team.

Bottom line, I think the rules (team protocol) will actually clear up some of the tension on the team. Keep watching for what is to come, including that Affiliated team name, and details on how to join. top

August 3.2006

Nascar had the week off for Nextel Cup and no one gained any bonus points.

Nascar 2007 looks pretty fair so far by the video I seen on YouTube.com. Check out the video link I posted in the thread that says about a video that EA is not showing.

HzzrdsFnst1 had e-mailed me to let me know that he is away and has been doing lots of summer stuff, and is expected to make his racing return in about 3 weeks. He wants everyone to know he'll be back in full force. HzzrdsFnst3 is looking like he'll be back offline for a little while, but he should have no problems catch your posts in here, passed on by either HzzrdsFnst6 or viewing them himself. HzzrdsFnst15(me), I have been pretty busy taking up the summer days drinking in our fine campgrounds located around Ontario Canada. It's been fun and weather has really held up when I been out on the bender. I am hoping to be playing this coming long weekend (Civic Holiday - Monday for most of Canada) I should be available over the next few days, but probably more so on Sunday & Monday.

Keep an eye on more Nascar 2007 stuff and post what ya know and what ya see. HzzrdsFnst28 is racing on Nascar Sim Racing, find him nd get our team name out there if ya have the game. I am going to try and paint a car with our team web page and other graphics when I can learn how to. Keep an eye out on that as well.

Keep watching for our web page to see some changes, namely new areas involving Nascar 2007. Catch ya on the track. top

HzzrdsFnst81 gets tossed from the team

After being told countless times that the HzzrdsFnst81 was wrecking everyone when he would join a race, he got booted. He was known to join the race get out front lead and then when threatened in the race for 1st, he would spin who ever approached or the AI in the field. When first accounts of his wrecking first came about, I paid mind to what I was being told and I asked the 81 what was going on. His response was typical, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt and didn't report it right away to the team leader. 81 told me that the people he was wrecking were wreckers themselves. After checking back on his past ten races at that time, it showed he was racing the people who he claimed to be wreckers, plus these were people known to have raced clean and fair with the others in HzzrdsFnst. Looking past the complaints, I told 81 not to worry about it, but quit wrecking even if they were wreckers etc..

HzzrdsFnst81 joined a race with the race leader (whom he had no idea he was our team leader!!) and raced out most of the race fairly. Further along in the race he wiped out a racer who friends with the leader, and the leader witnessed the crash. Nothing was directly said and 81 was done racing for the night. Next day 81 joined a race with myself, the team leader and another person whom 81 has bashed and called down to me in his first complaints of being a wrecker. Starting out off the line, the leader decided to give pay back to the 81, then explain it was for wrecking a friend the day before. Nothing should have come from 81 further, but he decided to verbally attack everyone in the race and on top of that say he was keeping the name after being kicked off the team. He also promised to join any race or host a race and wreck others and claim this is team work at it's finest. He started to invite people to the team and this ate up numbers that some new members were looking to take over in the 2006 game once it was released.

Keep in mind that our team also enjoys racing for the fun of the game, and this is not a whine fest about team members, but more a warning about the 81 and what his plans are to wreck fun of others.

Crash Causes Panic, Leader keeps the lead.

HzzrdsFnst15,HzzrdsFnst24,HzzrdsFnst31,and UserRon were in a Talladega race. 22 laps. After leading a fair bit, HzzrdsFnst15 was making last pit stop on lap 16, took no tires and came out 6 - 7 seconds in the lead and seen a clear run for the remainder of the race. Lap 22, looking at the line, 15 blew a tire, second place UserRon heard this and was looking at a sure win. 24 & 31 were pushing hard to get back into the race and were out 20 seconds plus. After spinning a fair bit, the 15 also was smashed from behind and lost his fuel cell. UserRon takes the lead and also gets caught in the crash and sure enough lost his fuel cell. Being pushed further into the Oval, Ron was still in the lead and was now facing wrong direction, 15 had came to a stop at the trunk of Ron kind of sitting sideways. 24 & 31 were now on the final approach and were seeing the disaster all lined up near the line. 15 was panicking and so was Ron, both wanted the win and the 24 & 31 were now in the area, to only get smashed into the mess and a sea of cars, like a Tsunami, pushed the 15 to the win after all.
