April 26.2007

I am on time this week. I have been busy with other things when it leads into the weekends, the warmer weather is here and I am always on the move now.

I am happy to see a steady, but less then a few weeks back turn out. We are still showing up in groups of 4 - 6 at a time, which is good. Some of the regulars have dropped out of the picture. I am hearing rumors that the Nascar 08, for PS2, will run just 4 racers online. I am still planning on buying both p2 & p3 versions if they do not interact. I will still operate the point system and stats for the team on both sides of the fence when we all move into the 08 season.

Speaking of Ps3, I was able to grab Major League Baseball 2k7, that game is too much fun. I have yet to try it out online. Keep watching for a possible league or team for that coming from me soon.

I have a friendly bet with one of our team members. The bet involves NHL Stanley cup play-off's and I will not give out details, but I am sure you'll all know what the one side of the bet was when and if his team wins the race out of the East, keep your eye's peeled for a web page change or perhaps a sour team member who is not carrying all his stats he should be... Just watch the site, you'll see soon enough.

I skipped this week's updates because I was pretty busy again yesterday and today with things I had to do. I am heading out for the weekend as well and I had to get ready for that today. I will be back on Racing on Sunday hopefully.

Some great news on that Nascar 08, I read stuff about the C.O.T. making it easier to drive the tracks. I also see they are going to have it where the day turns into night, now that's some cool news right there.

I am going to do stats next Thursday, I should be able to get that done no problem.

Catch you on the track.

April 12.2007

I am updating on time this week. I have seen a few days missed myself last week. I am still getting good stats from team, we are still turning up nice.

The Hockey ending, and then the Sopranos returning to TV kept me from racing my typical pattern.

I have been messing around with the Ps3 as well and finding all the neat things with the system. I have still yet been able to get in the day racing once again as 2 playstations close by helps big time for me to be able to switch up without moving a single thing, However I have been busy with everything else I have not had a chance to get on the system.

The team remains un-changed, we are still pulling in races and it's close in some area's and with our PTS HzzrdsFnst07 is really picking up steam. With the turn out the way it has been, it is making it easier for me to lay out the end to our season. This year also see's the next version of Nascar coming out a month and a half earlier then usual. I am looking forward to the upgrades they are throwing us with the next version. I just hope we'll all remain racing together through both consoles and I plan on continuing on with stats for both etc. Nothing will change other then who owns what.

See you on the track.TOP

Hey everyone, I am updating again a day later.. First off Happy Holiday's to all who celebrate the Easter Weekend.

I went and grabbed a Play-station 3, and had a short but rough start with it on last Sunday. I have posted in the game review section some tips to help out what I had to learn after buying the system.

I am happy to see that a few team members have gone and purchased a Ps3 and hopefully by the time the Nascar 08 comes out, a good lot if not all have the new system to move the team onto one version of Nascar.

The system is great, I cannot even begin to touch on the things I enjoy about the system. I can tell you that (other then some small issues with the INTERNET browser) it is virtually a PC/Home theater system all packed into one with the wireless also involved, again it is worth the buy for sure.

We are still playing in good turn outs. The team keeps showing up and points are climbing and climbing. There's nothing more to say other then we remain solid group and have worked through a few bumps the past little bit and we all remain clean with one another and the Nascar racers out there.........

See you on the track. TOP

April 27.2006

Kevin Harvick takes the win in Phoenix as mentioned and gave the bonus points to the 2 teammates.

Dale Jr is going to be driving his dad's colours around the track on Sunday. In honor of his dad, who would have been 55 on Saturday April 29th, is going to drive the car with his own sponsers you see on the Red 8.

Rumor has it that Nascar is not coming out on EA Sports for the 2007 stint. Word is that the makers of ToCA (Codemasters) are going to pick up the next year's title. Lets hope so. I know that having ToCA 3, you run 8 at a time online, and have a wide variety of car setups.

This week will see our penalties take effect, we have a driver who will remain unnamed get his points cut back. 50 points for wreckless driving and 25 for un sportsman like conduct.

April 24.2006

Kevin Harvick takes the win in Phoenix. This gives HzzrdsFnst3 & HzzrdsFnst31 the bonus points.

I have yet to update the stats, a week or so ago I upgraded to Windows XP, with service Pack 2 included. My CD-ROM would not give me the web page stuff back. Locked on the discs are all the stats as well and the calculators. Instead of just going on what was on the web site, I had to be stubborn. Well that lead to frustration and the untimely death of my keyboard and mouse... Today, I am back online fully, and hope to have them stats updated before Thursday or do it the one time. Keep Watching for the Updates. top

April 13.2006

Kasey Kahne takes the win in Texas. HzzrdsFnst08 takes another 50 bonus pts. These points/bonuses have really taken off for a few people. Go Waltrip!

8 racers recorded stats this week and with that said, a change (noted above) is in the works for how the top will fall into place. HzzrdsFnst28 has posted in the forum that he is not going to play Nascar 2006 any longer that the game has far too much lag. He wishes to remain a team mate and with that it should be obvious he can remain a team member, however this is going to reflect his possible Chase come June if he does decide to return around that time. You can still catch HzzrdsFnst28 out there on the other games this team enjoys.

I am not yet sure how it will come into play, but I am possibly hooking up a ToCA 3 web site much like our BattleField & Nascar ones. Look for HzzrdsFnst6 & HzzrdsFnst3 and the others to be on this Good Friday as well as the weekend. HzzrdsFnst3, although not able to play as much as he would like to, is making his moves. In the Alternate standings, he is 3rd place and climbing. See you out there, and Happy Holidays from the HzzrdsFnst Team. top

April 6.2006

Tony Stewart takes the win in Martinsville. HzzrdsFnst43 gets the latest 50pts points for his fave driver winning last week's race.

Already April, not long before the June cut off date now, yes! A June cut off date. June 16 is the last date to record stats. No details on how this championship will be run, but those who do not race as often and post high stats as of today could be disqualified from the top 8. This time we are sticking with the top 8. We do have some ideas worked out on how the Chase will be run, and it is going to put up on here, & forum in fair time.

Not a bad, but not the best turn out this week. Great to see HzzrdsFnst31 racing, and great to see HzzrdsFnst3 put in some races as well. HzzrdsFnst08 is now a common name seen on the game as well. Although 8 or 9 guys are posting stats, don't count out the team just yet. top
