Grand River 2003 Family Reunion

Currently on Grand River Reunion 2003....

The Reunion is OVER! and what a success it was.

We had three MAIN events - Friday was the Wine & Cheese at the Matheson Homestead, Saturday was the Dinner at the L'Ardoise Legion and Sunday was the Dedication Church Service. Everyone attended everything!

We also had a few optional activites, such as a kids' Scavenger Hunt, a trip to the Beach and boating on the river - DESPITE the rain we had all week and weekend.

In case you are wondering - No, the cold and rain we had all weekend was not typical for Cape Breton, but it wasn't all that unusual either.

We have several WONDERFUL donations; the largest being a beautiful paining by Margie Cipryk. Daniel Noah, son-in-law of Isobel (Urquhart) Macuish was the recipient.

We had a sneak-peek at some family history and discovered that Glenda (Matheson) McCormick is a fourteenth couusin of the late Princess Diana (are you surprised?)

As a way to keep in touch, I have added a Message Forum to post to - no subscription required! Please use this feature to keep in touch with family members, so that we don't lose the contact we worked so hard to make.

The next reunion is planned for the summer of 2008 (5 years from now), but if you will be travelling to Grand River in the Meantime, please let everyone know and we can arrange some get-togethers.
