The main character, meaning that she is as messed-up as the story. Cloralplaste (this is not her real name, by the way, just a codename) is an unglamorous sorceress who resides in her hut in a forest, where she lives with her apprentice, Little Lady. Cloralplaste never knew her real family; she was orphaned as a child and was raised by swordsmen. It wasn't until she was older that she realized her had magical powers, so she took her new-found skills and fused them with her blade arts. A most uncommon technique in her world.
Cloralplaste has a severe anger-management problem, and enjoys taking out her rage on her apprentice and her "friend" Garrett. That aside, she's a deligent worker, and a fierce fighter (if she decides she's brave enough to stick around and hold her ground, that is.)

Apprentice
Little Lady (the name Cloralplaste gave her, since Little Lady doesn't know her real name) is the unfortunate purple-haired orphan girl who found her way into Cloralplaste's arms when she could still barely walk. She knows nothing of her past, which is fine with her. Unlike most people who have no memory of their beginnings, Little Lady could care less and shows no sign of wanting to search for her origins.
Little Lady loves chickens, and even has a particularly large one as a pet. She trains with Cloralplaste to improve her magical techniques, which often leads to some sort of mishap.
23 years old
Barbarian
Barbarians are feared to be the most savage of people. Battlefox does not fit that bill. He is a "gentle giant"; a reliable, resourceful guy that is loyal to his friends and is always willing to help. Like Cloralplaste, Battlefox uses a codename, not his real one.
25 years old
Thief
Not exactly the nicest of guys, the infamous Garrett wanders around carelessly, causing trouble for his friends. He resides somewhere in the large port village on the other side of the mountains that divides the village with the other characters' land.
Nothing is known about Garrett's past, and how he became a thief. All that's for sure is that he thoroughly enjoys pissing off Cloralplaste, and is not a very fast runner.
