29 Movements
Definition: Named after the Hwa-Rang youth group of the Silla Dynasty in the early 7th century. The 29 movements refer to the 29th Infantry Division, where Taekwon-Do was developed.
Starting Position: Closed Ready Stance C facing to D.
1. Move the left foot to B into a sitting stance while executing a palm push block to D.
2. Execute a right mid-section punch to D while remaining in the sitting stance.
3. Execute a left mid-section punch to D while remaining in the sitting stance. (Perform steps 2 + 3 in continuous motion.)
4. Move the right foot to A into a left back stance while executing a twin fore arm block.
5. Execute a left upset punch while pulling the right hand to the shoulder. Remain in the left back stance.
6. Pull the right hand to the hip and execute a right lunge punch to A while sliding the right foot forward into a fixed stance.
7. Pull the right foot to the left foot into a left vertical stance while executing a downward strike with the right knife hand towards A.
8. Execute a left high section punch in a left walking stance, moving forwards towards A.
9. Move the left foot counter clockwise 90° to D in a left walking stance while executing a left downwards block.
10. Stepping forwards to D, execute a right mid-section punch in a right walking stance.
11. Grab the right fist with the left hand and pull the right arm to your body to a 45° bend. Move the left foot to the right foot at the same time.
12. Execute a right mid-section side kick to D while pulling the right hand then lower the right foot to D into a left back stance while executing a right knife hand strike.
13. Moving forward to D, execute a left mid-section punch in a left walking stance.
14. Moving forward to D, execute a right mid-section punch in a right walking stance.
15. Turn 270° counter clockwise moving the left foot to E and execute a knife hand guarding block in a right back stance.
16. Step forward to E and execute a right spear finger thrust in a right walking stance.
17. Turn 180° counter clockwise to F and execute a knife hand guarding block in a left back stance.
18. Execute a right roundhouse kick with the ball of the foot to F.
19. Execute a left roundhouse kick with the ball of the foot to F and lower the left foot to F into a left back stance while executing a knife hand guarding block. (Perform steps 18 + 19 in a fast motion.)
20. Turn 90° counter clockwise to C and execute a left down block in a left walking stance.
21. Shift the left foot into a right back stance towards C and execute a right reverse punch.
22. Stepping forward to C, execute a left reverse punch in a right back stance.
23. Stepping forward to C, execute a right reverse punch in a left back stance.
24. Shift the left foot into a low left walking stance and execute a low X-block to C.
25. Moving the right foot to C and slide into a right back stance facing D, executing a double elbow strike to C.
26. Turn 90° counter clockwise to B, moving the left foot to the right foot into a closed stance and execute a left down block and a right inside block.
27. Execute a right down block and a left inside block while maintaining the closed stance.
28. Move the left foot to B into a right back stance and execute a knife hand guarding block.
29. Move the left foot to the right foot, turn 180° and move the right foot to A into a left back stance while executing a knife hand guarding block. (Kiyap)
