Introduction In this essay I will be talking about some of the first and the best comedian duos ever. I’m talking about Wayne and Shuster. They been around for a long time and are some of the best. Sadly they had to leave because no one can last for ever. Ever since they started many comedy has gone a long way. Questions 1. Who where Wayne and Shuster? 2. Why did Wayne and Shuster they start? 3. When did Wayne and Shuster start? 4. How has comedy spread since they started? 5. Where did they start there comedy acts? I decided to do a very famous Canadian comedy team. I think that even if they where around to day they would be great. Although a while ago they where considered old and out of date. But they are still considered legends to the comedy history. They where founding fathers of Canadian history. Wayne and Shuster where some of the first comedians in Canada. They where said to be the founding fathers of English Canadian comedy. They where also considered cultural icons. There peak of popularity was during the 50’s and the 60’s. They used to be the Shuster and Wayne duo. But they changed it to Wayne and Shuster because they thought that it rolled off the tongue better. When they where a comedian duo the dug each others humour but didn’t hang out together. People even said that they where as close as a long married couple. They started comedy because they really liked it. There life was very dedicated to there comedy. They started doing plays and other activities before they did there comedy. They really did what ever they could that was open in the spare time at the school. When did Wayne and Shuster start? Wayne and Shuster started in a school called Harbord . In this school they met up and started doing comedy. They started to do some of there first comedy acts when they went to America. While in America Wayne and Shuster where an even bigger hit in then they where in Canada. While Wayne and Shuster where in America the showed up on the Ed Sullivan show for a record of 63 times. There first time on the Ed Sullivan they performed rinse the blood off my toga. Rinse the blood is a skit that is a remake of Julius Caesar done by Shakespeare. But after doing comedy in America they decided to come back to Toronto. Comedy has gone a long way sense them. Because of them there is now Royal Canadian Air Farce, and Kids in the hall. They have helped a lot with other comedian shows to. They started in a School called Hardboard. But Frank was born in Ontario and Johnny was born in Toronto. After meeting up in the School they became the Canadian duo we know today. They Where great But none of them are alive today. But in some way none of us have forgotten about them.
