Throughout these pages, you will find some detail of the Oatman family since Johannes Outman came to New York in 1687. The information is taken from the manuscript OATMAN, Some of the Descendants of Johannes Outman and Femmetje Kock, compiled by W. E. Osborn (2200) and Ralph I. Oatman (3910) in 1935, updated by Linda Milligan Oatman(7501) and Barbara Hawthorne(3701) in 1995.
The text is changing daily as more individuals are contacting us and providing information from their own families. We encourage you to write us and let us know how your family fits in. We are constantly searching for "missing" Oatmans and updating the manuscript.
As of March 3, 1996, most of the 6th generation from Johannes is available on the Internet. The balance of the family tree will be added as time permits.
The number in parentheses after certain names indicates the numbering sequence used throughout the manuscript.
